About this listen

Your power to change one moment can create life-changing momentum.

In The Magic of Momentum, international best-selling author Stephen Guise reveals how momentum works differently in our behavior and lives than it does in other areas. For example, in physics, momentum is a predictable and simple equation (p = mv). Sports momentum is defined by team scoring streaks or players making game-changing plays.

Behavioral momentum, however, is far more powerful than other forms of momentum. It’s not the “string of successes” we often perceive it to be. Behavioral momentum is layered and exponential because every action you take changes how your brain interprets that behavior.

Momentum is the hidden difference between success and failure. It is always active. Though unheralded, momentum affects every single moment of our lives. The smallest action can bring someone out of a seemingly insurmountable struggle if it triggers a reversal in momentum.

Listen to The Magic of Momentum today, and discover your true potential with life’s most powerful force.

I really enjoyed the first few chapters providing the philosophy and psychology of momentum and how it influences action. The latter chapters, i.e. about addictions, were less interesting to me.

The voice-over talent's reading wasn't well matched with the gravity of the book. His sing-song, grandfatherly style of reading is better suited for children's books or something more light-hearted. No slam on the reader's skills, just a mismatch for this particular book IMO.

Revealed how important and valuable momentum is!

I just listened to this book for the 2nd time, and it's as good as I remembered.
I read a lot of self-help titles, but this is the only book in my experience that breaks down the importance, the power, of momentum.
Almost every day, I make use of the principles I learned from this book. They shape my behavior, because I know that the step I take in any given moment has an impact on the step I will take *after* this one. Such a powerful lesson this has been for me!
I recommend this book 100% if you are interested in living your life intentionally.

I absolutely love this book! While it is a quick read, you will want to re read it because the principles are like an apple. You need to peel back the layers and put the principles into action.

As always, Stephen gets right to the point. I actually realize that I have had momentum the last three years, thank God. I have definitely had a few challenges this year. Without momentum, I would have been in deep problems. I will share more on New Years' on Facebook. But I will say that looking forward to sharing my year has been one of the rewards I have been looking forward to writing. Thank you, Stephen.

This fleshes out a counterintuitive strategy. It gives some new tactics and lots of food for thought. It’s a proven and brilliant method for building daily momentum. Those daily wins will eventually build sturdy habits. This system is so flexible, it can be easily underestimated. It doesn’t stop you from going full boar, but it does allow for unexpected obstacles. Float like a butterfly. Sting like a bee! Good job Mr. Guise!

A great book, whether or not you have read Guise’s previous work
