sordid deeds

At times I wanted to laugh and others I wanted to cry. Some of this seemed liked a comedy of errors and some were tragic. People who have no morales, conscience, or scruples doing wrong because they cam or for greed. smh. Betrayals and backstabbing abound. Interesting and intriguing . I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.

Exiting and Fun!

A twisted tale of gangsters, ex musicians, and broken families tie together in this fun and exciting web of a story. A great performance by Mack, and expert tale from Wood. Great characters, I think at the heart of this one, most will revel in Mike’s journey.

Good

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This was a good book with interesting characters. The narrator was spot-on and I enjoyed it for the most part. There were times where I was not as engaged as I could have been but overall, it was an enjoyable book.

Loved this!!

Wasn't sure what this was going to be like. But right from the start I was hooked. Loved the cockney accents of the narrator. The story itself was intriguing with quite loveable characters even though they were criminals. I was expecting Arthur Daley to pop up at any moment. I didn't understand the title part "When they tell you they're not gangsters" but after listening for a while I couldn't help smiling at that. If you're after a book that is enjoyable, easy to follow this is the one. I'm happy to give it 5 stars all over!
