Publisher's summary

Three complete novels in the Sam Reilly action and adventure series!

Rogue Wave

The offer - $20 billion split between four leading scientists on alternative energies to purchase and then squash their research lines, which include the recent discovery of a powerful new energy source capable of replacing mankind’s reliance on fossil fuels.

There’s no doubt their discovery is worth 10 times that much. But will any one of them live if they refuse?

At the same time, the greatest technological advancement in warfare since the creation of the atomic bomb has been discovered and is being offered to the highest bidder.

There is just one problem, though: The seller might no longer have any control of the weapon.

Can Sam Reilly weave his way through the web of industrial and political espionage before the human race loses its greatest fight for survival?

The Cassidy Project

In the middle of the Pacific Ocean in 1962, at the height of the Cold War, the US military experimented with electromagnetic pulses created by detonating high-atmosphere nuclear bombs. The project was code-named Starfish Prime. The primary objective was to develop the ability to produce an EMP with enough force to knock out an entire nation’s communications, rendering a retaliatory attack impossible.

The secondary objective, along with its consequences, was deemed too important to national security to ever be released.

In 1983 an American B-52 nuclear bomber goes missing somewhere near the Bering Strait while delivering a secret cargo at the express order of President Ronald Reagan to an unmapped island. Present day, in the Weddell Sea off the coast of Antarctica, a woman wakes up on a cruise ship to discover she’s the only person left aboard, despite no apparent fault with the ship.

Sam Reilly, already on a rescue mission to Antarctica to save five French scientists, may be the only person standing in the way of the completion of The Cassidy Project.

A Spectacular Collection of Superb Books!

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I am absolutely entranced by this series. I love the characters, but the stories are uniquely intriguing. Each book, even though they have the main characters in common, are completely different from one another and all suspenseful and well-developed. I cannot say which book I liked better, as they all held my interest to the end. I particularly appreciated the research that went into the scientific aspect of each story and the explanation given by the author to allow us to fully understand the various plots. The writing is also exceptional as is the narration.
I like the fact that the characters are all intelligent, good-looking, and resourceful. After all these books are works of fiction and not reality. It is a glamorous and fantastic world, and why not? You read or listen to these type of stories for an enjoyable experience, so why not have the protagonists be all you would wish for? If you want ugliness, just turn on your TV...
I'm hooked on the series and look forward to listen to more of Sam Reilly's adventures...

Wonderul adventures, very smart

The Sam Reilly series is a rarity. It’s not often you find a sci-fi/ adventure author that can combine the genre with Christianity, but Mr. Cartwright does it well.
I really like the way he strings alternative history together with actual history. I found myself Googling things I thought I already knew just to make sure I was right..

The narrator has been great throughout the series. May need a bit of practice on his French accent, but overall great job.

I was given this copy free for an unbiased review.

Thanks

You gotta love collections!

Sam Reilly adventures continue, I have always been pleased with the books, They are a great historical and adventuring type books that sometimes seem to fly in the face of conspiracy theories which make them even more fun on the "what if". These collections are great road trip or commuting books. Well worth the time and credit.

This book was provided at no cost for a fair and honest review.

Quickly becoming one of my favorite series

Christopher Cartwright writes an excellent story. The entire series has been a HUGE adventure filled with action. I enjoy the way Cartwright creates puzzles and problems that need to be solved and the adventure Sam Reilly and his team have to solve the problems or puzzles, evade the bad guys to survive and finally get the solution to save their lives. David Gilmore does and excellent job in narrating the series.

Another Great Set!

I listened to the first Sam Reilly collection last year and really enjoyed them. I was excited to learn there were three more books to the series. The nice thing is, you don't have to listen to the other three in order to enjoy these three. You also can listen to these three stories in any order you want. The one constant is Sam so you can "mix and match" the stories as you please. This set is also an enjoyable listen. With action, adventure, intrigue and history you can get caught up listening to these stories and completely loose yourself. The narration was wonderfully done by David Gilmore once again. I really thought he brought the stories to life and helped to bring them to life. I will recommend this entire series to my friends.

Another great set of adventure stories!

We listened to this first volume and loved it. This volume is just as good as the first. You do not need to listen to the first volume to enjoy these. The stories are well written and very detailed. I would highly recommend this author!

The narration is excellent. I would listen to this narrator again.

I Love Sam Reilly

The Sam Reilly is an amazing character. The stories are full of action and surprises. The Rogue Wave has a fast pace and is very hard to stop listening. If you like the Clive Cussler "Dirk Pitt" novels you will love Christopher Cartwright.

Sam Reilly saving the world again

Second collection of Sam Reilly books and he is back in action saving the world, as he continues to search for the Master Builders.

Well narrated again by David Gilmore, as he keeps the pace and action moving.

AWESOME CHEF D’ŒUVRE!

Rogue Wave was a fascinating story, full of dark, ancient, mystery, engaging characters and glimpses into the future of scientific achievement. Christopher Cartwright has a gift for making complicated science quickly understandable, and he weaves it into a fascinatingly, intricate story. The storyline develops in a way that makes you shocked at how much action passed in such a short amount of time. It kept me mesmerized for hours! I felt like I was coming out of another world when I was interrupted! The characters are engaging, and the author makes them real, down to earth, and with fun quirks to their personality. They were realistic, and each time you learn more about them, it deepens your interest and engagement, the way a great book should. The plot and writing were complex, and deep enough to keep a graduate of literature entertained; because, once you’ve read the chef d’œuvres of the great thinkers of the Enlightenment, anything less than the kind of writing found in this series, seems insipid. I’m happy to say I find these novels just as entertaining and enjoyable! The narration was excellent and I loved the voice of Sam Reilly. The narrator did an excellent job speaking through the more convoluted concepts. His enunciation was excellent and not too slow. It seemed like he was very knowledgeable about the science, because it flowed naturally and easily. His voice modulations were perfectly suited to keeping the twists and turns of the subject matter clear. I did not have to rewind once! I’m happy to say that this Audible narration of Rogue Wave lived up to my expectations of a piece of excellently written, and narrated, literature!
