About this listen

Yes, you should be afraid of the dark....

A powerful demon is hell-bent on revenge, and he knows paranormal investigator Ford Atticus Ford by name.

As Ford wrestles with the uncertain nature of his future, a different kind of evil storms into his world, proving that not all demons are inhuman. Trailing in Lauren Coeburn's wake are some of the most elusive and terrifying paranormal entities in existence - the black-eyed children.

For Mike Long, a panicked, early morning phone call from a haunted angel brings new hope, but it's costly, and he may learn what it's like to be on the other side of judgment's gavel.

Then there's little Chelsea Hopper...and the threatening darkness lurking inside her dreams.

LOVED LOVED LOVED

All three books in this series were great listens! I loved the simplicity of the storyline, narration was PERFECT (some voices can ruin the best stories) and the imagery throughout each book was excellent!

Be Afraid. Be Very Afraid!😱

This is the 2nd book I've listened to in this series, and what I will say is, OUTSTANDING. This book and series, it's scary, and creepy. I cant listen to it when I'm home alone.(my husband must be home..lol☺)This is not your typical reality/ghost hunting book. It is totally well thought out and written. The characters are perfectly defined. Desmond Doane is a beast with his imagination, writing, storytelling, and creativity. He has absolutely been blessed with these talents. I also must give him 10☆s for his choice of narrator. Daniel Thomas May is doing a phenomenal job in his narration of each main character + the ones that's introduce to the story. He's awesome. I'm now looking for more books he has narrated. I highly highly recommend you check this series out. You will love and become invested like I have!🤗

Excellent Series

This is part 2 of the Graveyard Classified Series and it just as great as part 1. This book gave me the chills, it is scary and I could not listen to it at night. The author did a great job of continuing the journey of the characters and the demons involved. The narrator kept you engaged and does great creepy voices. I highly recommend reading the full Graveyard Classified Series.

holy shit this was so good

excuse my language but damn. The narrator and writing are top notch. I love the point of view switches especially in that last Mike long chapter.

And I was killed to the bone by the possession of ...no spoilers but the voice changes woah!

How is this book free?

I'm used to maybe the first book in a series being available in the Plus catalog, to lure me into something, get me addicted, and then get me spending my credits on the rest of the series before the previous book has even ended. But this whole trilogy (series?) is on the Plus catalog and I am living my best life listening to them.

The characterization in these books are just phenomenal. The growth. It's beautiful. The ending of this one seemed a little sped up, but I recognize that was probably the circumstances happening and POV. But man, I'm invested. I hope there's more books coming because I'm on the third and I'm gonna be upset if it's the last time I get to hang out with these people.

Too much levity…

…to be truly scary. The one liners are a constant throughout, making this somewhat entertaining but not scary in the least. More like Hardy Boys fodder. There’s no real closure on the demon possession of Mike.
Since this is my second book of Mr. Doans, I can tell my thoughts about the first book we’re on target, and this is more a comedy/horror. I’m looking for real horror and scares. I won’t likely be listening to more from Mr Doan. Of course, if comedy horror is your thing, then you’ll love his work.

Where’s the horror?

Had to stop 2 hours in because tired of 2 men gushing after women and listening to their teenage thoughts. Usually listen to audiobooks while in traffic to help relax- this only made it worse, I actually honked.

An interesting ride, but not exactly as expected

An interesting ride following two paranormal investors in completely separate stories. Feels like a set up for a different book, maybe the first of a series, but definitely a wide open ending with lots of possibilities.
