Publisher's summary

What happens when you fall for Ms. Wrong?

Annie Harland is rich, successful, and very single. So when an invitation to her 10th-high-school reunion drops on her mat, she's determined to skip it. Until a drunk evening with her best friend results in an appointment with an escort named Robin.

Robin is supposed to be bookish, well-muscled, and the owner of a golden retriever. Robin is actually tall, curvaceous, and very, very female.

Things should have ended at their very first meeting. But for some strange reason, Annie can't stop seeing Ms. Wrong. And Robin is Ms. Wrong, if only because she's a Ms. and not a Mr.

What should have been a story of high school revenge has turned into a romance, and Annie's life is about to be turned upside down. But love knows no labels, or does it?

Great premise, but turns cheesy

I loved the first half of the book, but then the authors conflict between the two main characters comes along and I have trouble buying it. Too much pride breaks them up and I don’t like it.

Cute Concept, Nice Spice, Easy Fun Listen

This is a fun listen with some nice spice and engaging characters that experience various opportunities for growth. One very profound and well-illustrated concept relates to our perceptions and how they vary from person to person, even those present at the same time and place. And it never hurts to be aware of how much our own “self-talk” can color our view of everything around us.

Lovely and fun

I enjoyed this. Especially the undercurrents of how our perception of the world leads to the way we feel with our peers.
A great love story 💜

~Interesting ~

It’s a really good quick book and I enjoyed it! I was kinda of perplexed how Robin thought she could keep her job and still have a girlfriend. It would be a hard thing for a lot of people I’d imagine to accept! But I’m glad it ended the way that it did!

Cute romance about personal growth and confidence

I really liked this book. I only listened to the audiobook. The narrator, Melissa Moran, is very good, but I'm not sure she was able to distinguish between the characters enough. I did keep getting lost in who was speaking. It helps when the narrator can really develop different voices for each character. The story is fun but not too light. Both characters grew and changed. I really liked their initial connection. The conflict was a bit over the top, but not too much, and it made sense. It is a short book, but the author packed a lot into it. I think it was effective. It's hard to judge the writing when I'm only listening. But I did find it really strange that Annie's last name starts as Holden and becomes Harland. I'm assuming that was just a mistake, but it made things confusing. And I know the author doesn't live in the US and Britishisms/Europeanisms keep sneaking in. But I know to expect that, so it's fine. The ending seemed a bit sudden, but not overwhelmingly so. Overall, a good story that kept my interest.
