About this listen

A writer-turned-barbarian and a reader-turned-spellbook team up in this blazing LitRPG tower climber!

Randy Lionheart used to be your typical down-on-his-luck fantasy writer--sure of himself but secretly insecure, penniless, prone to rants, and with more ideas than he has good sense.

All of this changes once he is mysteriously portaled to the fantasy world of Genera, where he accidently becomes a barbarian.

Yes, accidently. It's complicated.

After joining forces with a magical yet neurodivergent spellbook named Clovis, Randy finds his stride battling monsters, facing insane challenges, and solving tricky puzzles in an effort to reach the top of a tower.

The scary part? If he dies in Genera, he's gone for good.

The not-so-scary part? If Randy makes it to the top of the tower, he has a choice to make: return to his world, live his life in comfort at the top of the tower, or go back to the bottom and start the climb again.

Either way, it's going to be an uphill battle, one that will try Randy's wits, his newfound powers, his budding friendship with Clovis, and the shaky alliances he makes with other ascendants like him.

Tokens and Towers channels the spirit of the LitRPG genre, from its love and misuses of stats, to isekai antics, violent humor, and everything in between.

About the series: Tokens and Towers is by Amazon bestseller Harmon Cooper, author of Monster Hunt NYC, Proxima Legends, and The Feedback Loop. This is Harmon's seventh LitRPG series, one jam-packed with genre Easter eggs, fantasy tropes turned upside down, a ton of heart, and a John Wick's worth of action.

Such a fun story, kept me laughing out loud

Lots of humor, hilarious situations and great characters. Voice acting is top notch and brought the story to life. I enjoyed getting a complete story through the three books and definitely recommend this series.

Such a fantastic series & spectacular narration

I’ve read through this series twice and have now listened to it as well. And as always I’m left pondering it’s one major flaw:It ends. Serious, it’s just too short. Each time through I don’t want it to end. I want the adventures of Randy and Clovis to continue on. I’m also struct by one immutable fact: when it comes to audiobooks Harmon Cooper just has a knack for picking the right people to bring his characters to life. As much as I enjoyed reading the series, the audio version takes my enjoyment of the books to entirely new level. Clovis was already one of my favorite characters that Cooper has created but the way in which Daniel Wisniewski chose to voice him…well it’s hard to imagine being able to make a character that is a spell book so endearing. And Rebecca Woods does a fabulous job as well. I just hope that somewhere down the line Cooper will decide to return to the series and we get a chance to once again adventure with Randy and Clovis…and Shadow Lily as well.

man, another insanity trip from Mr.Cooper

I absolutely love how crazy this one is. there isn't a second that you, as the reader are laughing or grinning from what was said. as someone who has listened to a good amount of other authors as well, when he referred to them in this, it was hilarious. this is purely one of my favorite books. I loved that we got things that we didn't expect to pop up in the way that it was written. great job you guys I can't wait to see if you get together for more

the world and story were pretty creative...

I didn't mind character stats reading too much, though there was a bit much... the fights were way, way too simple for the main characters. A few continuity issues, and a few rules broken in story, and the judges in story were OK with it... I smiled a lot through it, and it had a lot of fun parts.

This story is nut! And awesome!

It's almost like a fever dream. You can never guess what's going to happen next, but I guarantee it'll be freaking awesome. The narration takes it to the next level! Definitely definitely recommend!

Now I need a book/series about Gnoblins!

One of the most fun books I've read in a long time!
I have listened to more than a few books by Cooper and have yet to be disappointed.
It took me a while to finish this book but not because I didn't enjoy it. Life and responsibilities can really get in the way of one's fun.
This is great that the trilogy is in one book and it's a good 35+ hours of fun, silly and just pure entertainment.
It's similar to watching a comedy movie with a heart.
For those of you that have to have a serious Tale of Two Cities type of entertainment, you should buy this for your kith & kin that have a sense of humor, for their birthday or anniversary or something.
I'm giving this book 9 out of 5 stars AND 👍👍.
