About this listen

Quantum Hughes doesn't know how long he's been trapped in a cyber noir world known as The Loop.

For each day that passes, Quantum adds an item to his inventory list, hoping that he'll one day be free.

Has it really been nearly 550 days? Has he gone mad? Will Quantum ever be free?

A surprise message from the real world sparks a series of events that Quantum could never have never imagined. Suddenly, he's facing off against killer invaders, fighting steam-powered robots, going toe-to-toe with dagger-wielding goblins, visiting floating realms, and even taming a mirrored dragon.

Through Quantum's trademark snark, his near bottomless inventory list of items (example: item 287, King Tut's dagger made from a meteorite; item 327, a Viking helmet with horns), there's no telling what he will do next, or how far Quantum will go to level up and solve a challenge.

About the series: Explore vast and unique fantasy MMORPG worlds in one of the original isekai GameLit series published between 2015-2018. The Feedback Loop is a portal fantasy series by Harmon Cooper, Amazon best-selling author of Pilgrim, Cowboy Necromancer, and Monster Hunt NYC. Fans of role playing games and everything from classic noir to high fantasy and fast-paced gamer action will love this new collection. Watched Boss Battle? You'll dig this. A fan of Sin City, Sword Art Online, The Punisher, Free Guy, or Ready Player One? This will scratch that itch.

Quantum Hughes has always been one of narrator Jeff Hays' most beloved character voices. Volume 1 features Jeff's re-recording of the book that started it all. This new version captures a more developed Quantum voice, and takes advantage of better gear and mastering. Soundbooth Theater has also remastered Books 2 and 3, and recorded a bonus Feedback Loop short story and Quantum's inventory list, so even longtime fans will have a reason to pick this improved version up.

Grab it, and dive into The Loop!

There are probably flaws to be found, but I had such a good time listening to The Feedback Loop volume one, that I jumped right in for volume two. The first-person perspective and relentless barrage of jazz-age noire vernacular were right up my alley. In the first couple books it was a little overwhelming, but I really enjoy the style. This is not for the kids. It's gritty, but a ton of fun, Packed with references, but not in a Ready Player One kind of way. This is more like constant similes to (sometimes) obscure cultural references. The story is full of action, too, so there's a lot to parse, all the time. I was constantly stimulated. Great fun, and Jeff Hays nails the whole thing.

This is by far the best written and fully developed series out there. No hollow and meaningless dialogue, the MC is a beast with a hilarious vocabulary. Think Ready Player One but better in every way. Highly recommend

Absolutely love this series

An amazing array of socially-awkward descriptors made this an absolute delight to listen too. looking forward to continuing the series in the months ahead.

If you like your humor to be like WTF is going on while cackling hysterically, you want this series. I couldn't put it down.

This is the series that got me hooked on litrpg. I love fun stories with a compelling main character, and this fit the bill. Action..romance...humor...violence...this has it all. Fun for the whole family! (IF YOU ARE IN THE MANSON OR ADAMS FAMILY).

Holly crap I haven’t had my 1990’s tickled that hard in a long time. Love the setting and love the slang and the action is amazing. Harmon Cooper kills it and I can’t get enough

Great!

When I first picked this book up, I mainly grabbed it because it was narrated by Jeff Hays, and it was honestly so worth it. It is like listening to Ready Player One with Bugs Bunny as the main character. The action is well done, story is a very well done continuation series, and there are so many references to our current media that it’s like if RPOne was about the 2010s - 2020s instead of the eighties. They aren’t over the top, just right and always funny. Jeff is one of the best narrators out there. 5/5 for sure.

Hilarious, Witty, Fun

there was a bit of emotional cheating up until book 3 where he actually does. it turns out to be a major plot point too. I already didnt like the MC for various reasons, but I had hoped that if he was going to "chase some tail" he would first have a clean break with Dolly.

the argument that they are just NPCs is a valid argument until you realize in the same world Andriods have religious rights, they have marriage with Humans, and most people spend their time in the dream universe. the books are well written with a bunch of references the fly over my head or im just old enough to get. I just dont like that gut twisting feeling while im going through chapters, brings my mood down, the whole tone of the book shifts and its not as easy for me to get into anymore. great author, solid book, great world building as it is subtle and concise. but I cant finish it

couldn't as soon as he "cheated"

Four books for the price of one is always a good deal. There is an interesting mix of genres (noir, cyber punk and fantasy). The settings with our quixotic, noir protagonist create a novel story that is refreshing. The narration is fantastic. Hayes is truly a man of many voices.

Great package
