Tower tournament

Max and his group are chasing his sister and trying to stop the tower terrorist organization. In the mean time, there is a lower floor tournament that humanity will be competing in. The problem is that the tournament is on the 30th floor. This is 20 floors higher than Max has ever been. It will be quite the struggle to even get to the floor, let alone the tournament itself!

This is a great series. Max has an amazing power and it does seem overpowered at times, but this is a unique trait. Having said that, there are certainly more powerful individuals than him. I have really enjoyed this tower series and am looking forward to the next one!

intrigued

I'm going to be honest, after finding the feather in the envelope in the last book The only thing I can think of was that was very bold. and then I remembered that the tower changes people in different ways and realize that his sister was probably corrupted. but now it's ending of this book I'm very pleased with the way it ended. it doesn't seem like she's completely evil it just seems like they are rivals now. as most sibling relationships are

Another great story!

Jacob tanner did it again! this story follows max and his friends this time with a pervy old man who reminds me of master roshi to tag along in another great ride up the tower.

you get some good twists and turns with some interesting characters thrown in.

this book specifically we saw max's opness really come from his intelligence as well. you can have "great" or "bad" skillsets but it is how the person uses them that would determine how far they go.

steve Campbell deserves another shutout for his fantastic job narrating this book.

I'll split this into 2 parts

if you're familiar with the series go to part 2.

part 1

if your new to the series or Jacob Tanner, this a litrpg tower climber series. Not as crunchy as other series. the interface system really is in there enough to keep it in the litrpg genre honestly. which is a pro ir con depending on your preference.

The story itself is written like an anime. Has a Naruto flavor with some Yu Gi Oh season, mixed with the author's own sauce. It does come across a bit YA but not enough that I didn't want to finish or struggled thru.

The plot goes kinda goes as you think it would. young kid, social outcast gets introduced to a new world and had a unique and slightly op ability. What I do like, is that the story progresses, unique and kickass abilities aren't limited to the MC or the heroes. there's enough balance between common, rare, and unique traits that it feels organic.

narrator does a decent job. I wouldn't say he's the best I've heard but he's definately far from the worst. some voices can get muddled with the number of characters from time to time.

I'll continue in the series and with Jacob s other works. They're worth s listen.

Part 2

So if your familiar with the series and familiar with naruto, without giving too much away. All I'll say is chunin exams.

Good story continues...

Towe Climber 3 continues to improve in writing quality and story quality with every book. The unique take on abilities is fun to watch grow and while it does have the overpowered MC trope it's not egregiously done and the rest of the characters have equally shining moments. I can't wait for book 4.
