About this listen

Robert Greene's previous best seller, The 48 Laws of Power, distilled 3,000 years of scheming into a guide People praised as "beguiling... literate... fascinating" and Kirkus denounced as "an anti-Book of Virtues."

In Art of Seduction, Greene returns with a new instruction audiobook on the most subtle, elusive, and effective form of power because seduction isn't really about sex. It's about manipulating other people's greatest weakness: their desire for pleasure.

Synthesizing the work of thinkers including Freud, Diderot, Nietzsche, and Einstein, reporting the enticing strategies of characters throughout history, The Art of Seduction is a comprehensive guide to getting what we want any way we can.

Realization of who each of us are.

It opened up my mind to a reality that labels who we are based on our actions and the result of what it is we do in anything we do there is a cause and effect regardless if intended or not. Wow.

perversely knowledgeable

much of this book is known and not said, but because it is not said, it is forgotten until reminded.

Better than the stalking romance fiction models

I kept marking passages to come back to another time and it's just seems to be so much more realistic how to seduce people rather than stalk them with only a vague hope that "something magical" may happen ( has most romance fiction suggests).

This gives detail on how to make the magic happen
or
learn that it's not going to happen
or
at least be entertaining and fun for the person that you're trying to seduce and not creepy or weird.

Give this to every man that seems frustrated that he's a "nice guy"© but can't seem to get any traction..

So much information

Sparked my interest on psychology and why some people can be so interesting and enticing. It is long but the stories breathe depth into the lessons. Full of great and useful information. Worth the time to listen.

a great resource. worth learning all about it.

the more I research behavioral psychology, the more apparent it becomes that "sociopaths" are merely those who choose to exploit others for their own benefit rather than live respecting the rights of others. all of greene's books explain the choices you make if you prefer power over preserving liberty for the self and others. this book is a great resource. worth learning all about it. but after getting through it I choose not to live by these exploitative principles.
