About this listen

The next novel in Kristen Ashley's sizzling Colorado Mountain series introduces a new electrifying relationship that turns Carnal, Colorado into a hotbed of action, romance, and suspense.

An old flame rekindled . . .

Zara Cinders always knew Ham Reece was the one, but he wasn't interested in settling down. When she found someone who was, Ham walked out of her life. Three years later, Zara's lost her business, her marriage, and she's barely getting by in a tiny apartment on the wrong side of the tracks. As soon as Ham hears about Zara's plight, he's on her doorstep offering her a lifeline. Now, it will take every ounce of will power she possesses to resist all that he offers.

Ham was always a traveling man, never one to settle down in one town, with one woman, for more time than absolutely necessary. But Ham's faced his own demons, and he's learned a lot. About himself, and about the life he knows he's meant to live. So when he hears that Zara's having a rough time, he wants to be the one to help. In fact, he wants to do more than that for Zara. A lot more. But first, he must prove to Zara that he's a changed man.

This is my 6th CO mtn series book, accidentally read 1 out of order, and I hate to say I was disappointed. I love this series and its ridiculously bossy alpha males. but something about the start of this book put me off and I couldn't seem to shake it.

That being said I am glad I listened to it, still love this series, love the author and really enjoy the narrator.

Book 5

I really enjoy this series. The narrator is great. This book had a good storyline and I like that you know some of the characters already.

Great Book

This is another 5 star book in this series. Not all in the Colorado series have been 5 stars. Loved "The Gamble", "Breathe", and now "Jagged" is also wonderful.
Just for anyone's information, Sweet Dreams wasn't top notch and Lady Luck was pretty good.
Jagged was a great story along with as always perfection narration by Emma Taylor. I loved the twisting romance between Ham and Zara.
Zara's issues kept mounting throughout the story and loved how they all came around and how this story ended. You won't be disappointed and it's worth a credit.
I hope the next one in this series is as good as this one.

Another winner in this series!

Zara is a tough little nut but all the abuse didn't ruin her so her love for Ham helped her understand him better than most. He brought her through some very painful times. She did the same for him when he let her in.

I continue to enjoy these romances. No matter how corny it sounds, I still like to think that "Love conquers all".

Keep them coming, Kristen!

Any additional comments?

First of all, I've listened to all the books in the series so far and I'm pretty sure I've loved them all. I thought "Breathe" was a little long-winded so "Jagged" was refreshing in contrast. I can see me listening to this one many times. The characters were intriguing and I love a hero who's a big bruiser, but loving and gentle. Also, there were differences that the H and h had to surmount, but the back and forth wasn't to the point where the reader gets frustrated and wants to tell them to wake up and smell the coffee!

Also, I enjoy that KA brings back the characters from the other books. Makes me want to listen to them all over again.

Sometimes I think the narrator over-enunciates, but overall, I do enjoy listening to her. She keeps her characters' voices distinctive and the same from book to book to make for a richer listening experience.

On to the next book!

I really liked this one!
