Unlock the secrets to managing teen anxiety and stress: A parent's guide to understanding and overcoming generalized and social anxiety disorders, OCD, and PTSD

Do you work with teenagers and are looking for a resource you can use with your clients to help them cope with the anxiety they experience? Are you the parent of a teen who struggles with anxiety and stress?

The percentage of adolescents who suffer from significant anxiety is currently close to one-third, and this number has been steadily rising over the past few years. The experience of living with anxiety can make a teen feel cut off from others and frightened.

It is all too common for adolescents to feel pressure in today's society. While experiencing that pressure, they must avoid saying or doing anything that might be considered inappropriate. As a result, it should come as no surprise that today's adolescents suffer from high levels of anxiety and stress.

The good news is that there are answers, with proven ways to help teens either avoid becoming another statistic or get to the root of their anxiety. The first step is understanding the problem.

This essential guide is filled with the helpful information needed to give the listener a clear grasp of the problems. It is delivered in easily understandable terms. You'll learn the best ways to support your teen in overcoming problematic thinking and fears. Dr. Probst shares actual patient cases as examples of some of the different issues covered in this guide. He also shares some strategies for the effective management of stress and anxiety in teens.

A Parent’s Guide to Teen Anxiety & Stress – Help Manage Your Child’s Generalized and Social Anxiety Disorders, OCD and PTSD is one of the most user-friendly anxiety books available.

If you’re looking to get a good understanding of your teen’s anxiety issues, this audiobook is a must listen!

Wonderful resource packed full of details

Packed full of useful, practical and must-know advice and information. It takes you through the steps from diagnosis, treatment and outcomes including building a team around your child, picking a therapist and counsellor, types of therapies (including CBT, art and group) and different medications with details on which ones, how they are used, and the benefits or when not to use. it even covers substitutes for self harming and this was much appreciated as I know someone experiencing this problem. But it doesn’t just list options for every aspect of this journey, it actually explains them and points out what you need to ask and consider and this sets it apart.

It even covers how to deal with insurance and how to make sure it is classified properly especially for later life to protect your child. There are so many aspects that have just never occurred to me.

This is a very detailed book and I have learned so much and had never really considered mental executive function impact before (nor how therapies and treatments can combine).

If you have, or know a child (like I do) with an anxiety disorder, then this book will be a huge help in understanding your child, the process and which options might be best (and how to approach them). Most of all I now feel much better equipped to know all of the options ,which approach might be best and also feel like I understand the child I know better.

Clearly spoken, easy to understand and some helpful real stories that added a great deal of value.

Highly recommend this book.

Great for understanding your teen

This book helped me become a lot more understanding about what drives what can seem as diva-style behavior, when you realize that your teen is highly susceptible to stress and that what you think is acting out is them releasing some of the anxiety they feel it can help to be more patient and understanding.

WOW, THIS BOOK IS AMAZING!

As another clinical therapist, I was amazed at how simple and wonderfully Dr. Probst presents this complicated information. He addresses many different coping strategies that DO NOT just jump to taking drugs to solve the adolescents problem. God bless your brilliant presentation here… your guidance and knowledge will help many parents understand their child’s issue and give them hope and a process to follow to eliminate the problem.
