One of the greatest sales books of all time

I have read the physical version and am listening to this on audible for the second time. YES, you probably need to listen to it at 1.3 speed to avoid the distraction of Brian's lip smacking (he probably did this recording at a more advanced age after writing the book. I've heard him do that on live seminar videos recently. Give him a break, he's elderly now). But if you can get past that sound with 1.3 speed, it is highly worth it. If you are serious about earning a very high income, and you are in a sales role that allows that kind of income, then you must read and listen to this book over and over. Deal with it. Suck it up buttercups. It's a challenge - be glad you get to prove yourself. Most jobs rarely allow such income opportunities or chances for growth. Besides that, the chapters are not synchronized correctly in this audible - big deal. The real meat and potatoes starts after chapter 4 or 5. The first part of the book is mostly about motivation and positive thinking. I have used his sales language to get appointments on several occasions - from his other book "The Psychology of Selling."

Excellent information, however...

This is my 4th audio book by Brian Tracy. I love all of Brian’s work and try daily to apply the things I’ve learned from his books.
One minor complaint about the performance in this book though is that I could not help being distracted by the sounds of his mouth. It were as if he needed water or was eating something while narrating. Other than that, this book was great!

Great compilation / poor audio quality

It's a great compilation of Brian Tracy's best advice. The audio quality lacks, I'm surprised by that. Whoever compiled this album needs to apply some filters, it sounds like he's eating with every sentence, I'm sure he wasn't. Get past that, and the material is awesome. Tracy is the answer to the dissatisfaction with the "old school" of selling. If you practice those old techniques, you will stay on track, but customers have grown tired and you won't make the sale. Much of the published works about selling from the 1950-1990 were pre-internet, pre-email, pre-cyber days, Sales trainers were probably good Football coaches too. Back when the phone, mail, and in-person calls were all we had. Today everything is lighting fast, but we need to make sure your customers know there's a real human behind it all. That high touch / high tech is where we live and we all need to adjust to that reality. Brilliant that Brian Tracy continues to evolve and keeps it ethical.

Great advice that is useful beyond sales

The author provides a lot of useful ideas in a way that is straight forward and engaging. I think peoplr should look at Tracy's work even ifthehy aren't professional salespeople. The one problem with this audiobook is the production is horrendous. For one, the gain on the mic is way too high, causing lots of lip smacking and plosiveness to pass through. This experience detracts from the wisdom provided. Quality is not consistent across chapters. Tracy's performance lacks the energy of his other presentations. In my opinion, this book is begging to be re-recorded.

Excellent sales book!

This is an excellent sales book packed with a lot of information that you can use right away. I would be coming back to this book many times As a reference and to review the main points many times until I internalize them.

Incredible life lessons on becoming the best.

We all know that Brian Tracy is an absolute legend. But this book has by far exceeded my expectations in the sales process. The detailed overview, the examples, the repeated processes, and the step-by-step breakdowns are so valuable. This is one of the best sales books out there.

Brian hit it out of the park

Brian Tracy put a program that would have cost 300 dollars 2 decades ago for the price of one audible credit. The small percentage of the program that is repeated from previous programs is an essential foundation for the new material. Great job Brian!!!!!!

Fantastic resource!

What did you love best about Advanced Selling Strategies?

This one has pretty much everything. Be sure to take notes! While other books on selling by Brian Tracy cover the general aspects of selling very well, this one goes into great detail on the specifics - which for me, has been extremely helpful in crafting and perfecting my presentation.

Absolutely worth the listen!
