A shattered team. Demons dancing with glee. Blood will be spilled.
Kyvir and his party have officially defeated one demon with an unknown number to go, but the cost was abandonment by both Mona and Albarth. The party is significantly weakened, nothing is as it should be still, and the world is no longer as safe as it once was.
Time to get killlin’. Kyvir’ll chase any path to leveling up and getting to his lost friend, meaning Emma and Sundar need to work overtime to keep him from going too far. Navigating deeper into this magical game world, he finds himself in the company of strange and dangerous new allies, but does he dare trust them? Even with a noble goal leading him, the path ahead is dark and winding...and each step brings him closer to becoming the very thing he fears.
Chaos, terror, and trials abound, and a certain demon couldn’t be happier to welcome everyone to the Aetherocalypse!

First of all, the plot lines reguarding charecterisation narrow down to the two main charecters almost entirely, with only a few glimpses at other people’s stories. This is by design, the way the main two focus on themselves is indicative of their situation, and the story reflects that by not dipping much into any other charecter journies.
This book was definetly more… intense than the other books, kind of a deep change in style that’s reflected in every aspect. It’s entirely due to what’s happening, and not a dramatic shift in writing, which is interesting.
Frankly, I’m sad this is all I’ve got, I would love to start book 4 right now. I wasn’t sure before if this was a trilogy, but now that I’m here I can absolutely assure you it’s not. There’s more, and I want to see it 😠
