Whenever there is a dungeon in a book, I usually prepare myself for another series chucked into the compost pile. This series is not that, it's highly entertaining and promises real conflict with real assholes in need of a beat down. The promise of a tournament soon bumps this to the top of my watch list. Eagerly drooling for a good tournament arc that doesn't get all sticky fingered harem smut or political, too. Good sh*t bro. Good sh*t. Count me in for book 3.

Great story, great progression. would recommend.... HOWEVER, The author lists the stats of MC extremely offten. the reading takes several minutes. Even when a single skill or stat is looked at, the very long list of everything is read. Easy skip, but the total time taken away from the actual story is quite a bit.

I really enjoyed this book. If the series keeps growing the way, it looks like it is. It’s fast becoming one of my favorite series to listen to. I can’t wait for the next book.

this is the perfect story to just enjoy the characters new life with awsome action and amazing relationships. there is no serious extreme eveil or anything and its nice to just enjoy the story of the main characters rise to power and his life with his family and the crazy things he gets up to.

A bit stat crunchy, but overall a really good book. if you like progression or litrpg the series should be in your library.

Good enough story with unique concepts and progression. Both books really could use a pass for editing some of which interfere with the emersion (switches in voice, wrong pronouns, or swaps of who is actually speaking that make it hard to follow sometimes). Also some of the female voices are awkward with pauses or young characters sounding like old women. Lastly this seems to be a lead up to an academy and tournament plot line which is a hard stop for me, story is good enough that I will see how it’s handled.

Good story, world, and system brought down a star by voices and editing.
