Beautiful offering
Loved this grounded book by a wise author. For years I’ve felt that relationships are a deep part of my spiritual practice so the message Padma Gordon resonates with my heart. And her grounded voice in the recording is so soothing!
I welcome practical examples on how to deepen the relationship practice. My favorite chapters were the ones on vulnerability and rupture and repair.
There can be times when relational challenges can be daunting. I loved how Ms. Gordon shared personal stories from her relationship to illustrate the messages. Those stories will stay with me.
I imagine I will keep coming back to this book.

Relaxing and inspiring
I read this book a few months ago and found it very helpful. In this time of isolation and enforced quarantining, a book like this helps get thru day to day issues with those with whom you are living.
The reader's voice is very calming and easy to listen to. She provides many helpful tips on problem solving.
I highly recommend this book both to read and then to listen to!

A thought provoking Relationship Book for Men AND Women
Being Together is the kind of relationship book that speaks to me-a 60 year old married woman of 21 years (2nd time around ;-) - and because I love the writing style and the really helpful TOOLS that the Author provides throughout the book and at the end of each chapter, I ordered one for my 28y/o son and his Significant Other. Oh-how I wish that I could’ve read this book at his age!
The stories of real life couples are very inspirational and great examples of how we all go through similar issues. I found myself wanting to pause after many paragraphs to reflect on what I just read and how I could implement it in my own life and in my relationship with my husband Jeff. I feel that it provides great insight into dealing with all types of relationships. Definitely a book I will keep on my bedside table to refer back to for many situations. My husband has even read it and it has kick started a lot of meaningful conversations!

The Joys and Vicissitudes of a Loving Relationship
“Being Together” is an absolute page turner. I particularly enjoyed listening to the audio book read by the author herself. Each chapter is devoted to a separate issue such as commitment, humor, or lifestyle conflicts that we all face—-written in a lively, personable style. I liked the way the author melds together theories from noted psychologists and researchers in the field with related incidents from her own experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone interested in analyzing their relationship in a new and deeper way.

Great for singles too!
“Being Together“ by Padma Gordon M.Ed, is beautifully narrated,
well organized and clearly written, with in-depth strategies on how to evolve within oneself and with a partner. At the end of each chapter, the author offers a summary of content, including reflections and integrative worksheets, which promote self awareness and commitment. “Being Together” can truly motivate you to test new approaches and enrich your life’s journey, whether alone or in a partnership.

A Special Book from a Special Author
Full disclosure - I am Padma Gordon's mother and I have been involved in her writing journey - as one of her sounding boards. I also know a few of the couples she interviewed. I am very pleased with the way the book came together with references to well known experts in the field as well as to "regular" couples who shared their successes and failures with her and illustrations from her personal experiences. I believe that it is a good mix and reads easily. It is a book meant to be read and re-read and I hope that others will learn from Padma's experiences. Clearly I am very proud of her! (less)

Full of insights and practical growth work!
It seems that Antoine de Saint-Exupéry forgot a key point when he wrote: "Loving is more that just looking at each other, it's also looking in the same direction". With Being Together, Padma Gordon enlightens us with the missing point: looking at (analyse/understand) yourself!
I really enjoyed listening to her book. It is full of examples, illustratives stories and humour.
The practical advices and growth work at the end of each chapters are perfect for journaling and meditation fans like me.
