About this listen

Survive the underground. Scavenge the resources. Save the women.

Life beneath the ashes of the old world has never been easy.

For Ethan, though, it was simple in Refuge. Living in a small settlement inside a big cave and carving out a life with his little community was all he had ever known. It wasn’t a happy life, but there was little joy in a post-apocalyptic subterranean nightmare besides with the people you fought to survive with.

And then he lost it all in the blink of an eye.

His home destroyed, his friends and family slaughtered, he is abruptly thrust into a new life after being forced to flee to a large settlement where he knows no one and has nothing.

As he meets and begins to fall in love with Ember, a beautiful woman in a bad situation, and the pressure of trying to make a new life for himself mounts, Ethan soon finds himself thrust into the lethal world of scavenging for crucial resources out in the underground, where anything and everything lurks in the shadows…

An artful blend of heart and grit!

"Beneath the Ashes" by Misty Vixen, narrated by Jessica Threet, digs deep into post-apocalyptic survival with an artful blend of heart and grit. Vixen's writing captures the stark simplicity of life underground, while Jessica Threet's narration adds a dynamic layer to the tale. The story's pulse lies in Ethan's journey—loss, love, and the relentless pursuit of survival, making this a compelling dive into a subterranean world where hope flickers against the shadows.

Great underground survival story

Solid story about mankind surviving underground after the surface becomes unlivable. Has a Metro feel but the story held my attention better. Great narration and I hope for a book 2.

Ashes

Misty writes another good book. This book is like a post apocalyptic horror harem. This story follows Eathan and ÷Ember.

What a voice!

I loved the story, it was short with some excellent adventurous tension and some simple and sweet romance. The narration was stellar and brought all the characters to wonderful life.
I'll happily read more Misty Vixen and listen to more Jessica Three!

Well done!

Was a very nice surprise. A very well written story. When I got to the last few chapters I was apprehensive to finish. I didn't want it to end.

Ashes and Dust

Well there is nothing I can say that isn’t already written in this book. It’s pretty epic start to a legendary adventure, I can’t wait to see what the next title holds.

As for Misty Vixen you can’t go wrong with these post apocalyptic adventures they just get more fun each series.

Jessica Threet is Queen as always, I like Duets in my Voice Acting yet, Threet can’t be beat.

It was a fun book and really enjoyable. Well worth sticking this out to see the next book in the series.

The world draws you right in.

This book won’t disappoint. Characters are well developed. Narration is very well done for both male and female characters.
