Well produced but science is dated

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The concept of cycling low carb days and high carb days is excellent advice. However, meal frequency and the general metabolism comments are incorrect based on recent studies. Meal frequency, eating breakfast, etc. have not been proven to increase metabolism as the book claims. The book should be revised to incorporate recent studies for a more effective result.

audio version is abridged in the worst way

Audio version is Abridged with "Go To The PDF For Details" throughout the reading.
I bought this book for the diet plan and the details in its implementation.
The audio book does not go in depth into the diet plan at all.
The audiobook is more about the exercise program, the motivation for the weight loss journey, the excuses of modern society failure to properly educate the masses on nutrition, blah,blah,blah.
Apparently (maybe) the text version of the book expands on the actual diet ,specific foods. timing, and recipes because throughout most of the audiobook's chapters PDF'S are referenced and the salient topics are skipped.
