Everyone should do this at least once in there lifetime...

Well written, difficult subject matter clearly explained, my wife and i are loving cooking together, recipes are worth it alone, this is a paradigm shift in the way you use food, I’m absolutely loving it. Best comprehensive book on the Keto diet!

I have never written a review but this book deserves it! This book is a wealth of knowledge for beginners to pros of the dieting and exercise world. I work in physical therapy and have been working out and reading about nutrition, etc for 30 years but this book provides plenty of nuggets of valuable information. I've done keto before but could only stick to it for 3 weeks. With a goal of making keto a lifestyle long-term, this book hits the nail on the head. It covers everything from how to maximize your workouts to improve fat burn, to the common pitfalls one may encounter while on keto, detailed breakdown of suggested macros for daily diet, recipes...really anything you could possibly need to know to do this safely and effectively. I have recommended this book to friends and family. I've already gone back and listened to certain parts again.

This Book is Amazing!

I've been applying what I learned for 4 weeks now and I am down from 221 lbs to 205! I haven't lost any strength and I feel great! Mark and Brad have put together a great resource here! Brad also does a great job narrating!! He's fun to listen to. Thanks gentlemen!

clear, funny, smart, instructive, and motivating

Woah, I loved this audiobook. It's probably the best "delivery" of a health book I've ever listened to. The narration is fantastic and funny, the book is laid out well, and I found myself completely convinced by every point that was made. I've read a half dozen other books on keto, so a lot of the information wasn't new, but some of it was.

I was particularly impressed by the 21-day metabolism reset that the authors recommend BEFORE starting keto. I didn't succeed at keto until my 3rd attempt, and the reason is that the 3rd time I eased in gradually, first cutting carbs most of the way, waiting 3 weeks, then reducing carbs some more as well as protein. If I'd listened to this book earlier, my first attempt would have been successful.

At the end of Part II, there's a really helpful quiz to assess whether you're fat adapted enough to start keto ratios. I typed out the quiz and printed it out because I think it's a really useful guide to return to every month or so. It asks about hunger, energy, mood, sleep, ability to skip meals, and of course consumption of sugar and starch.

The research on keto & athletics was fascinating and has motivated me to exercise in a fasted state.
