About this listen

It has been a wild ride for Jelly the Ooze since he was born. Adopted as a pet by a princess, obtaining a soul and a mind, and being blessed by a caring family and doted on by powerful gods.

Now, Jelly is accompanying Princess Liliana on her way to the Royal Varian Academy of Magic, where they both plan to learn more about the mystical arts. But not all is well, for a mad woman seeks the death of Varia's princess and will stop at nothing to ensure it happens.

Add onto that new friends, bullies, and a prophecy, and Jelly has his tendrils full keeping the people he knows and loves safe. Plus, the Ooze has two new companions of his own to deal with and a rather eccentric mentor. In the end, can anyone truly stop the coming of the void? And will Jelly be the one to try?

good series have listened to it a few times but one bit alway bothers me is kyna not sure if thats the spelling but her getting upset for them not telling her jelly can talk. Acting like she isn't hiding her background doesn't make sence that she can get mad for them keeping a secret that has a good reason and noone realizes or points out she does the same.

I like this series but

Felt like not much actually happened, decent school setting, but not much was accomplished. Looking forward to book 3.

Good, but not as good as the first.

I’d say the first book was more family friendly than this one. This one has a little more sexual innuendo, vulgarity, and violence than the first.
Still a good story though.

A little more crude than the first

Promoted as " for age 12 and above" This is a detriment, as adults will overlook it.
As a fan of a well written syfi/fantasy this story has all the awsum sauce

Well written with lots of twists and turns

Jelly goes to magic school it’s simply fun to listen too. The story is rich with its own style and is a joyful relaxing story. Thank you very much for a wonderful series I can’t wait for more!

Fantastic story!

I found this to be another excellent book about the ooze as it grows in power and gains speech. The problem I have is that the ooze is growing more human and too powerful for my tastes.

excellent YA book

Hey, I was a big fan of the story until the end then the author change the character at the last moment. This is one of the things I hate the most and make me stop reading a book series. The main character is a practical thinker what's brief spurts of rage and vowels to kill the ones that hurt is owner, he hesitates to finish both villains off. He even announces himself before he kills his first victim, there is no sense in this action and waste time.

Changes in character.

Enjoyed this installment of the story. I certainly didn't catch the hints about everything, but enjoyed it all nonetheless.

A great Slime's Tale
