About this listen

The second book in the swoony and high-stakes fantasy rom-com series that began with Twin Crowns, about twin princesses separated at birth—from bestselling authors Catherine Doyle and Katherine Webber.

Twin queens Wren and Rose have claimed their crowns…but not everyone is happy about witches sitting on Eana’s throne.

Coolheaded Rose plans a royal tour to establish goodwill throughout the kingdom. But Wren balks—how can they gallivant around Eana when their grandmother Banba is imprisoned in Gevra?

Impatient Wren steals away on a ship to the icy north, where King Alarik offers a deadly magical bargain in exchange for Banba’s freedom. Desperate, Wren agrees. But her spell has unexpected consequences….

Meanwhile, when Rose's royal tour is interrupted by a mysterious stranger claiming to be from the long-lost Sunkissed Kingdom, the strands of destiny pull her south to the ancient Amarach Towers, where only the Seers of Eana know why the Restless Sands are erupting—and why Shen-Lo himself might hold the key.

But back in Anadawn, rebellion is brewing. And if Eana is to stand a chance at peace, the sisters will need to reunite once more and convince their people to forsake old loyalties for new ones.

I was worried it wouldn’t be good but it was amazing!!

The first book was so good and in the beginning of this book I was really worried that it was not going to live up to the first but it did! You get relationships you love and even some you didn’t expect to happen 🫢 These authors have such a way of leaving us on a cliff hanger that makes me love them and hate them at the same time! These books have been so different than what I normally read but I love them all the same! I CANT WAIT for the next one!! 😍

Somehow even better!

I listened to the first novel purely because I love Ell Potter’s voice, but I fell in love with the story along the way. I’m always hesitant about sequels, but I think I actually like this one even more than the first. I’m ready for the next book.

Expected a little more

The Sisters were separated most of the book, doing their own thing. They always seem to have different ideas and different ways to go about it, so all the talk of them facing trials together is a moot point. I'd like to see Rose given a little more of a back bone and less naivety. A little more romance, please. :) also-Rowena needs to be dealt with, she's a BRAT that doesn't respect her queens.

My favorite new series

I love all of the characters and the world building in this series! And this second installment did not disappoint! It kept my attention all the way through, was not predictable, and the characters continued to develop throughout. I loved every minute of it! I cannot wait for the third installment to come out and have already preordered it! 💕

Even Better Than The First Book

I read this in one day. It's got all the best parts of the first book and more! The stakes are higher for the kingdom, for the relationships, for the magic. This book is so much fun, I couldn't put it down.

10 Stars!

I absolutely adored the characters in this book, and the narrators did an excellent job with the voices. This is a case where I am happy that I listened to the audiobook instead of reading it!

More Wren and Alaric!

The beginning was kinda of slow. It didn’t pick up much until the last part of the middle. I honestly preferred Wrens story line with Alaric much more in this book than Rose’s portion, which I felt dragged a bit.

It just got better 😮

Ok, so I’m a little annoyed and a little happy that I finished this so quick. This is even better than the last! I mean, where do I even start? Old characters (some hated) were fleshed out and hard not to love, new characters were introduced, lands were discovered, prophecies were told, lives were lost, romance brewed, and I could go on. I hope only one thing for the next book. That Tor develops some character. For now, I feel no connection to him as a reader. There isn’t much I feel we know about him personally. We get to know the king of Gevrah better than we get to know Tor 😂 which is a little disappointing seeing how the last book ended, but, I understand that something had to be sacrificed especially for the new love interest. Overall, I preordered this book hoping that I would divulge into fresh concepts and inthralling themes and I got exactly what I wanted. Again, Webber and Doyle, you have left me on the edge of my seat, patiently (impatiently) waiting for the next installment. ♥️

First book with better

I feel like this book was unnecessary. I think they could’ve just left it with the first one in been done with that but whatever.
