About this listen

It’s been years since anyone has seen Noble Vincent, the player that brought down World-Tree Online’s tyrannical moderator. Even with a lifetime of perceived experiences in the game, he still has centuries to go before the update finally ends and the people trapped in the game are freed. After taking a long vacation and traveling to many worlds, he realizes its time to get his team back together so they can try to reach the top of the World-Tree.

However, Vincent’s goal will eventually lead him to Styxis, a world consumed by a never-ending war. His path will bring him at odds with Noah, a former member of the Great Vanguard. Noah’s team climbed higher than any other before the angels crushed them, but like Vincent, he’s a man that obsessively chases his goals no matter the challenge.

Noah’s choices will lead him and many others down a path that will push the strongest players of the game to their limits. When Vincent gets caught in Styxis’s never-ending war, he too will have to decide how far he’s willing to go just to win.

Great series

Listened to book one and two, can’t wait for book three to come out on audible. If you like LitRPG and the “getting stuck in the game” type of books you’ll love this. Old man. Invent does it again!

WHAT AN AMAZING SERIES AND PERFORMANCE

I always love sound booth theatre performances as the voice acting and SFX sounds are too notch. I absolutely love this series.

This was an excellent story. I am looking forward to the third book's audio release.

This is too close to a rehash to be excellent

I enjoyed this book, but it has some issues.

This book mirrors the first in too many ways. It is not bad, but it follows the same formula: slight progress, good guy goes bad, training montage, followed by the MCs saving the day. The highlight of the series in my opinion is the growth of the rest of the main party more so than Vincent's. The addition of the side stories for Noah and Emilia is nice, but takes up way to much of the book, without adding much to the actual story.

The narrators do a good job, but Soundbooth Theater really detracts from the quality of their voice actors by adding sound effects and music seemingly at random. Considering they are adding more and more, I may begin avoiding any series they take part in.

I am still on the fence on whether I will continue this series.

Excellent story, excellent performance! I haven't flown through a series so fast ever, couldn't wait to keep listening, highly recommend.

Tremendous

Another amazing story in this trilogy. I see many complain about the sound effects and the sound blue thing of the piece. But frankly I find that very entertaining and immersive. let alone the quality of the writing carrying the rest of it.

Hooper Strikes Again

Wow. What a great book. The performance of this book was second to none. The scoring underneath key points and combat sequences was amazing. You’ll never hear a more immersive audiobook than this, unless of course you count the first book of the trilogy. I can’t wait for book 3 to come to Audible so I can hear the finale and appreciate this wonderful trilogy to the fullest.

Well done.

Wow...

so this goes the same as the first with year skips and was as good if not better than the first in my opinion

but for the author don't just don't that's rude that ending makes me suspicious

A Knack For Villains

Although I don’t think anything can top Lucas in terms of my hating of his guts, this author proves here that wasn’t a fluke. I can’t wait for the next one. The world and protagonists are interesting and all, but I really just want to see what antagonist Hooper comes up with next
