About this listen

Rys is still shaking dust from his hair after a thousand years of sleep, and he already finds himself in a two-front war.

The sorcerers of the Malus League are summoning a demon lord, while his northern neighbor marches south. Now that Rys has claimed a kingdom, he needs to keep it.

Naturally, he'll expand his territory while crushing his new enemies. Behind the scenes, the many spy networks of his opponents wage a continuous war. Rys gets his hands on his own spymaster, a pliable and energetic fox who is desperate to prove herself. The other nations want to manipulate him to their own end.

But he is nobody's puppet. When it's all over, he will stand atop the archipelago as its greatest power.

Demon's Throne is an empire-building series with violence, undefined relationships, beast girls, and scenes that don’t fade to black. Consider yourself warned.

around the 11 minute marker the narrator repeats one of the lines. it's an editorial mistake. everything else was fantastic!

I can't even begin to tell you when I first came across this author. I was immediately taken with the storytelling and tore through everything available on Amazon from him. I think it goes without saying but I recommend it not just this book but obviously the series. I have red the first three books multiple times. the first two books were given the audio treatment and for some unknown reason the narrators did not work out. personally I was disappointed by the team that ended up being chosen to work on the author's book. I had encountered them in the past and I'm not a fan so I did not pick up the audio books as I wanted to maintain my high opinion of this story. I'm not sure what exactly happened and honestly it's not anybody's business but the parties involved. either way the first two books ended up being remade with this lady narrator who as far as I'm concerned is phenomenal. there were a couple of hiccups that I noticed in this audiobook like a sentence that was supposed to be edited out that got missed but I've seen plenty of narrators over the course of their career make that mistake at least once. she also said archon a little weird but then that may just be because of where she was born and raised versus where I was born and raised. by the way those are rather nitpicky items to point out. the third audiobook I think is getting in January release just in time for my birthday. I have my fingers and toes crossed that we won't have to wait too long for a book for release date. I want to see how the main character of this story conquers the archipelago. and there are a number of mysteries that are yet to have been solved by our merry band of characters. lastly I'm just going to say well done to everybody who had a hand in bringing this story to us, the audible listeners.

such an amazing sequel

I love Robertson. I feel all his books should be given a fair shake. His characters have a lot of life and reasonably deal with time in ways that others pack into to short a time span for things to reasonably occur. Demon's Throne is excellent for those very reasons.

Still excellent quality

I absolutely love the second book of the series. Stephanie, Savannah does a fantastic job with this. I need more of her narrating the Darris twins in my life! I can't wait to find out what happens next.

A wonderful book 2

I will say at 1st that I am not a fan of the sex based stories. The story on the other hand is actually quite good. So if you can manage to get past all the sex which may or may not be to your tastes. I would deeply suggest this book series.

Not Bad

I did not enjoy this book two as much as book one, it just did not live up to the storyline

Was not as good as first

it really felt like the author was using every chance he could to stuff more dumb cliches into the story, even if they didn't fit well.

Worse than the first
