About this listen

Earth's XCU sends special forces operative Dane Tanner to the isolated swampy water world of Tamil. Tanner is tasked with a simple mission: prevent the colony's self-destruction.

Tamil, shrouded in dense mists and sprawling underwater forests, harbors secrets deeper than its murky waters. A rogue faction of genetic scientists has defied ethical norms, transforming themselves into the Riptili—genetically modified human-amphibians better adapted to Tamil's harsh marine environment.

Exiled for their transgressions, these outcasts form a hidden society in the marshes. No longer completely human, they come into increasing conflict with the surface dwellers. The aquatic rebels practice vile experiments, requiring fresh human young for their test subjects. Resentment grows, culminating in a fierce struggle.

Now, Tanner must infiltrate Tamil and make a grim determination. Can these two divergent species coexist? Or must one exterminate the other?

Find out in Depths of Tamil, the thrilling third book of the Rift Warrior series. With millions of copies sold, USA Today bestselling author B. V. Larson is the king of modern military science fiction.

So man plot holes and logic issues. Things spawn out of nowhere or change from one paragraph to another. Some sentences repeat in the same chapter. What a shitshow.

Just some examples:
In one scene he's drowning, a few minutes later he spawns full oxygen tanks.
In an other scene they talk about a prisoner that's been there for maximum 2 days or less. "We've tried everything, sleep deprivation, starvation, etc" in 2 days? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Honestly.

This has to be at least partially AI

I have listened to 20-30 of his books and got to say this is the worst. Dumb story, overly dramatic, written for a 14 year old. Got it as a gift so I can't return it, but I would if I could.
