I like his other books

So Doc’s other books are better. But I got this book because I enjoyed the other 3. The AI is awful. Please no more. Flat affect, mispronounced words, “she” was just plain dull. Took away from the book. I missed his other characters. The book was not 5 stars. And AI should not get any stars.

Horrible sound

Would never buy again a book read by AI. No inflexiones when reading. Tense scenes in the emergency room during a cardiac arrest where read like a recipe for a dish.

AI Not Ready For Primetime

An interesting plot idea but dragged out far longer than necessary. I wish the author had investigated the idea of foul play more. The medical jargon was well done and explained well.
The major problem and in truth the most irritating aspect of this book was that it was narrated by AI, The AI voice was pleasant enough and believably human but the number of obvious mispronunciations was laughable. As a medical thriller you would think it would have been programmed to pronounce “Dr.” as “doctor” but it always said “Drive” as “Drive Smith will see you now.” Many other common English words were mispronounced. The voice had appropriate variation in pitch, rate, and volume, but future AI narrators should be checked for these common mistakes in pronunciation.

I found the AI voice to be really monotonous

I truly enjoyed the story and the only reason I listened to the full book was because I was wrapped up in the whole storyline. however, the monotony of the AI voice was a bit much to take, and it truly distracted from the actual storyline itself
