Publisher's summary

Daniel “Rayid” Tear, having defeated the necromancer of the Dow’Del ruins, travels south. His goal: to rescue Pina, the Druid of Barisel and the love of his friend Tol’geth. Along the way they will encounter remnants of lost civilizations, monstrous creatures from the depths of the under-dark, and radical human-only sentiment slowly growing in the Kingdom of Tor.

All the while, in the depths of the Great Cathedral and the heart of Sowers Vale, corruption spreads like a plague. The eyes of the Great Valley’s ruinous minions are firmly fixed on the city. Against such odds, what can one barely competent wizard do?

Fun story that delves deep into magical theory

This is a fun story following a wizard dealing with baddies of various types and having to navigate a variety of different types of interactions: Monsters, Peasants, Nobles, etc.

Definitely delves deep into the magical capabilities of the MC and helps the listener have a logical understanding of how the character does things and not just say "because magic."

I definitely enjoyed the advanced golem crafting, Pokemon-esque battling, and potential future adventures of the party. It is well narrated, and if you enjoy wizards and a character who has a "booksmart" vibe, this might just be right up your alley.
Check it out. :)
