About this listen

Welcome to the big leagues.

It’s time to crown a champion. It’s time to evolve.

Jackson Hunt has spent countless hours training his team of monsters and battling rivals as an up and coming Djinn Tamer. All his hard work, the stunning wins, and heartbreaking losses lead to one place: The league playoffs.

But what got Jackson where he is won’t be enough to take him to the top.

As the season draws to a close, Jackson and his friends find themselves far away from the stadiums and crowds, searching for a means to take his Djinn to the next level. The strength he seeks lies in a remote, untamed corner of the world, where myth and legend walk hand in hand.

Competition for the championship will be fierce and the dangers of the wild are only the beginning. Is Jackson ready for the biggest battle of his young career?

Skills will be tested, new powers unleashed. Victory won’t come without a cost.

Evolution is the third book in Djinn Tamer, a monster battling, LitRPG adventure series for fans of Pokemon, Digimon, and Monster Rancher.

Another installment into a great and growing series

This series is growing very well and has potential not only for continuing for several more books with this Mc but plenty of room for branch offs and more. Here our Mc is now in the bronze league and one of the top four and working his way into the semi finals. We have action, adventure, budding romance and of course awesome djinn battles. The mc has a rare djinn that is closing in on the evolutionary limit and must evolve soon or be left behind in silver and gold leagues for the various limitations not evolving would Cause. This leads to a last minute adventure before the surprise format of the league semifinals. Will it work can they survive? Will he win? Find out here! I love these books!!!

Nostalgia. Nostalgia. Nostalgia. And no one does it better. Wow. This should be a genre all unto itself.

Great writing and Narration

I love this series. I love the direction that they decided to go with the tournament and I'm so glad the MC starts winning matches that matter in this one. I cant wait for the silver league.

the best monster taking book out there.

this series has brought so much joy to my life. when you think it can be predicable it will give a different twist, so I'm always I'm my toes and wanting to know what happen next. the person who's narrating this book is something else, he talks with so much passion and really makes the character pop out. thanks for everything. keep it up and looking forward to the next book.

We get our third memeber added to the team

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

TLDR; Series holds quality, but the story is a bit rushed.

I really enjoy this series, and if you're looking at reviews for the third one you're probably trying to decide after getting the first two. The books are holding strong, the story feels a bit rushed, not in quality, but there is a looming timeline that pushed actions by quickly. I think the biggest issue with this series is the lack of overall necessity for the battling. The books are great, and I enjoy them, but if this were a "real" world I don't think people would be quite as willing to let "pet fighting" be a thing. It needs a larger reason for existing. That's kind of nit-picking the story, but it's a reoccurring issue I have with these books that don't seem likely to be addressed. So if you have a strong personal reaction to dog-fighting this probably isn't a series for you.

Excellent Realistic Continuation

If you enjoyed the first two Djinn Tamer books, you will love the continuation in Evolution. The characters continue their growth and development, minor characters continue to make appearances and grow in their own ways and the realism of the worldbuilding continues on multiple fronts (professional league sports business model, nature of crime in a realistic Pokemon-esque world and world history). I cannot recommend this series enough to adult fans of Pokemon, Digimon, etc. Start with Book 1: Starter, so that you fully understand what all is happening. Get them all now!

Bronze league finals

Jackson and his friends are finishing up the season and ready to head into the finals! The Fab Four are all neck and neck trading rankings during the season. When the last match is completed, it is no surprise to anyone that all four of the rookie tamers are going into the finals.

What is a surprise is that the entire format of the finals has been changed for the first time ever. The champions will compete in a completely different way. Jackson is coming to grips with a different problem though. His primary djinn is almost ready to level out of where she can evolve. He has only a handful of days to decide if he should risk taking an expedition to evolve her, keep her as her basic form, or try to use a specific element to let her power up as her same form.

This was a very entertaining book. I have really enjoyed this series as a whole. I recommend this series whole heartedly.

Evolution Awesome!

Great addition to the series. Plenty of action and drama to keep you glued to the story. Narration is good as usual. Overall an excellent story. I recommend if you enjoyed the prior entries in the series.

Great series

I have enjoyed all 3 of these books. Like I have said previously, it obviously inspired by pokemon. That being said though this series is a series of its own. I listened and listened and I never wanted to stop listening. I am actually pretty sad there are no more currently. If you enjoy monster training games or cartoons I highly recommend this series.
