About this listen

Aegis versus Damocles. One last dance.

Damocles's latest attack has killed thousands in the city of San Miguel, including a beloved superhero.

Aegis is hellbent on stopping Damocles before his murderous crusade continues, avenging both the city he swore to protect and his fallen mentor.

But can he? Aegis's superpowers have grown unstable and, at times, diminished. Meanwhile, most of America's superheroes are either imprisoned or in hiding, thanks to the sweeping overreach of a corrupt president.

Yet this teen superhero and what remains of his allies are our best hope against a psychotic supervillain with the power to level cities and a small army of supermen at his command.

Is the Shield of Justice prepared for the biggest battle of his life? Are you?

I love this series!

I love this series ! My only complaint is the characters specifically the female characters lack of emotional intelligence especially the adults !! Even Hugo did it sometimes . His anger towards max seemed forced… he would definitely do the same thing for his mom and bro !!

Love series, but too much romance, Still a Great story

I love this genre and this series is one of if not the best. However could use less romance more super hero fights and action. I realize the writer wants to endear the characters and invest the reader, however this one had more than usual.
Overall I love this series and I am excited to read more. Thank you for a great story.

The struggle between Aegis & Damocles

This was a good conclusion. Overall, I enjoyed this entire storyline. I hope that he continues to add to this book series.

Excellent story telling

This a great ending to an awesome series… but is it really the end? So many unfinished storylines and news left incomplete. Definitely rom for another book. Fingers crossed.

The series has progressively gone down hill

I have been looking forward to this new book. The first few got me hooked and I was able to deal with the last few installments. This one has definitely gone more adult even though the kids portrayed in some instances are still teens. The swearing has kind of gotten out of control as well. I'm not the language police but there is a noticeable increase in this book. At the rate this series is going to next installment will be a harem novel. Hope the author dials it back abit before it just becomes pure smut.

Great Series, But Two Hours Too Long

The nemesis element between Aegis and Damacles is excellent. It keeps each character motivated to improve and innovate. The fights between them are epic! The clashes I this story are amazing! The problem lies in that after the final clash, there are essentially 3 1/2 hours of mundane life to follow.

Slight spoiler- there is a definitive victor in the final fight. The previous engagements all had some form of doubt as to which actually won the exchange, but this one ends more definitively. It’s just that afterward the victor goes on a journey of self-discovery to determine what his future might now be. I get it, there is some of that warranted in the aftermath of their final exchange, especially after each has suffered so much loss throughout the series. However, there was just TOO MUCH! I kept waiting for the next engaging thing to happen, but it never came. Some smaller things occurred, but they didn’t warrant such a time investment. For the first time in the series I was bored. R te hat said, the first 80% of the book was what we have come to expect and enjoy from Ekeke.

Throughout the series the male narration has been spot on. Although Hugo’s narrator has seemed too old during the narrative parts, his character work has been terrific! Grayson’s has been clear and accurately emotive t throughout. They have both been a pleasure to listen too.
