About this listen

A grief-stricken spiritualist thought his faith in life after death was broken. Until the ghosts of his past come calling in this short story of believing in what can’t be seen.

Driven by an uncanny mystery from his youth, Ian Randall became a “spiritual cleanser”, ridding disturbances from homes. But his belief in the beyond was challenged by his wife’s death. Merle House, the root of Ian’s obsession, could change that. The woods are restless again. Maybe here, Ian will find what he needs - if he’s willing to make a deal with the dark.

Fog Descending is part 2 of House of Crows, a four-part serial about friends with a shared history of darkness. They’ve spent their lives running, but they can no longer hide from the past. Each story can be read or listened to in a single haunted sitting.

Loved hearing what happened after the first book can't wait to hear the next one. great narration that's important cause if you don't habe that you kind of lose someone's interest. that's not a problem with these books though wonderful story.

This was part two of the House of Crows four book series. This one picks up right after the end of the first book. The teenage daughter sees something she shouldn't and we meet another of the main friends, Ian, missing his deceased wife. This book was better than the last one, things ate beginning to pick up. The audio book is perfect for listening to this story.

Love reading anything from Lisa Unger. But this series is nice and creepy. Just the way I like it.

Four friends reunite at the Merle House. Matthew, Ian, Claire, and Mason are still haunted by a dark past that links them together. Matthew calls upon his friends to help remove the dark spirits from the Merle house.
Amelia March disappeared years ago haunting the property. Her case remains unsolved. Her memories are alive.
Fog Descending is the voice of Ian and Mason. Matthew and Claire have cameo performances. Since Ian was a kid, the story had grown and spread. It was all over the internet, pictures of the Dark Man—most of it hoaxes and fiction. Ian cleanses spaces, asks negative forces to leave, frees trapped memories and dark energies. He’s called upon by Matthew to cleanse the house.

These four books need to be read in order as they are a continuous story about four friends who invited The Dark Man into the Merle House. Book two was a necessary read. It acted as a stepping stone for transitioning into the next phase of the story.

Narrators:
Jonathan Davis
James Anderson Foster
Frankie Corzo

I’m unfamiliar with each of these narrators. I did enjoy each performance. I listened at 2X the speed using the audible app. I downloaded the ebook and followed along.

Reuniting the summer friends

I’m afraid I’m a bit addicted to these stories. It’s a real problem.

In all seriousness, part two was an improvement on part one—introducing Ian and other new characters without taking away from the growing story of the Merle family. I am most I interested in seeing where Claire’s story goes from here, and so it’s time to listen to the next part.

Thank you Audible for my newest audio addiction.

Another great entry

Second of four parts published separately with the compilation being House of Crows.

No need to rehash the synopsis (I never do, publishers take care of that.).

This part fell flat for me. If it had been the first part, I would have forgotten there were three more parts.

Flat. Part 2/4.

This one is a little bit slower than the first but I’m sure the story will all come together in the end. Has caught my attention with the eeriness.

Still going strong

I'm still invested in this story and can't wait to find out what happens in book 3, which I've already downloaded
