Anthony E. Wolf updates his bestselling classic blockbuster as times change. The first edition of Get Out of My Life, But First Could You Drive Me & Cheryl to the Mall? became an enormous success. The words of Dr. Wolf were so on target that parents wondered if he had placed tape recorders around their homes.
But the world has not stood still—in fact, it is changing faster than ever. And while the classic struggles between parents and teenagers still remain, societal changes have brought about many new ones that parents of earlier generations never dreamed of. Today's parents must deal with such "new problems" as their children experimenting with the latest recreational drugs; increased sexual activity at a younger age; the Internet; and above all, a world that seems far less safe than ten years ago. Dr. Wolf realized the importance of these ever-evolving issues, which is why he has decided to significantly revise Get Out of My Life.
Get Out of My Life provides parents with a new understanding of their teenagers so they will look at them in a whole new light, seeing them as young people on a journey to empowerment. And most importantly, he reassures parents that everything will turn out alright.

Where does Get Out of My Life rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Anthony Wolf understands teenagers. What did I get out of this book? I learned (or was reminded) that parenting is "a job, it is only a job." Take nothing personally about being a parent of a teenager. They will often treat you like rubbish (to put it kindly) and that is their job to do just that. Adolescence is often the worst time in a person's life and a teenager needs to be able to express that. Anger is like poison and remaining calm is the antidote to 99% of situations. I love this book. If there was ever an expert on teens, it is Anthony Wolf.Required Reading for Parents of Teenagers
