About this listen

What would you sacrifice for the gift of magic? And if denied, would you steal it?

Ever since I was old enough to hold a blade, I knew I wanted to become a Magical Knight. For years, I trained, waiting for the day I would receive a grimoire of my own. But magic can neither be controlled nor predicted and when it was my turn to take the test… I failed.

I'm Null, a person born without a core. With this, all my plans have been upended, and the future lies veiled in mystery. However, a chance encounter one evening challenges everything I'd come to believe.

As it turns out, I do possess a certain kind of magic. Powerful, rare, and a threat to the Mage Council, my newfound ability is one many would kill for. There's just one catch...

I'll have to become a thief in order to use it.

I enjoyed most of story.

The world building was great. I also enjoyed the progression. The only problem I had was his rules of engagement. Risking your own life for non lethal fine but that is gone once your in charge of a team not to mention rescuing innocents. Hell it really bugged me because all through the story it kept bitting him in the butt. So towards the end I wanted to scream, it is like when some dumb civilian says why didn't you shoot them the leg. In the end great story I am just more a fan of punisher over batman I guess.

Excellent!

The book is so friggin good. Character development and story are absolutely on point, and while there are explicit scenes, they are not gratuitous. Rebecca Woods is an absolute master of her craft. Get this one!

Great narration

Story was good. I saw the reviews and noticed that the narrator got a lot of love. It was well deserved she did a fantastic job.

special character being special

personally have a distaste for over-confident characters and the mc fits that description. If you like that kind of mc then the premise is pretty good and the main ability he has seems interesting. just could not keep listening with the unnecesary snark and self-centeredness of the mc. perhaps it gets better perhaps not.
no complaints with the voice acting.

Excelent story

I thoroughly enjoyed this story and its premise, the more adult elements werent overly pervassive but still present, the actual drama is good, the action, the plot all makes sense, the charecters are relatable and i can understand why they do what they do, the villain makes me genuinely hate them and I can logically follow their reasoning for why they do what they do even if its repugnant.
Over all I cant wait for the next book!

Had a blast listening to this gem. Mostly stopped to say how amazing Rebecca Woods is. The center is incredible.

2 be litrPG or not to be litrRPG That's the question

This book has an identity crisis it has all the outer Parts of a litRPG harem bookBut it's like the author decided now I'm not going to put in the tables or include a way for a system to be put in doing that the It just made it so this book was missing you can tell the author is great but they need to embrace what they're going to do something like this they need to go and delve into the litrPG part
