Publisher's summary

If you want your child to have a healthy mental state, improve their gut health! Here’s why and how....

Harvard Medical School reports that the brain and the gut are intimately connected. When your intestine is in trouble, it can send signals to the brain, and vice versa.

Therefore, distress in your digestive system can be the cause or the product of anxiety, stress, depression, and other mental issues.

The National Center for Biotechnology Information reveals that bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are all connected to the behavioral, cognitive, and emotional turmoils that are ultimately rooted in disordered brain function.

A disordered brain function can be the result of an unhealthy gut. The latter is caused by chemical imbalances triggered by an unhealthy diet. Chemical imbalances can disrupt how your digestive system works in absorbing the nutrients needed to boost your immunity and your brain.

When this continues, the brain-gut connection will become toxic, resulting in a weak immune system and poor mental health.

So, to help your kid overcome emotional and behavioral problems, you need to be mindful of their diet.

Once you’re aware of what foods cause the gut to malfunction, you’ll be able to start making changes in how you prepare meals for your household.

Let this manual help you become a proactive parent who gives only the best your child deserves. Inside, you will discover:

  • How the brain and the gut communicate with each other—this can either improve or disturb the brain’s normal function!
  • What causes the immune system to attack healthy tissue…and how to prevent it
  • The types of food that gut bacteria don’t recognize—they can make your digestive tract dysfunctional when consumed long-term
  • What triggers pleasure centers in the brain (caution: it’s just a short-term boost and will be detrimental in the long run)
  • The food additives associated with ADHD and violent outbursts
  • How to test your kid’s gut health without going to a doctor
  • The 5 types of diet that can help your kid improve their ADHD symptoms and overall health
  • 10 artificial ingredients to avoid (warning: manufacturers hide one of them by writing this alternative name on their packaging)
  • The worst kind of fat that can trigger ADHD and other neurological issues
  • What to include in your kid’s diet to help their gut absorb the essential nutrients their body needs on a regular basis
  • The imbalances in the stomach that affect how the brain works…and what to do to achieve balance
  • How to remedy the overgrowth of fungi in the digestive tract by avoiding certain foods

And much more.

You won’t just get information from this guide, you’ll find simple, delicious, and gut-healthy recipes, too!

Plus, you can even apply the advice in this book not just for your child, but also for yourself and your entire family.

Today is the right time to start taking action for your child’s health, starting with their gut.

A Parents' Guide to Promoting Brain-Gut Health

A child's diet has a significant impact on their mental health. A healthy diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains can help improve focus and concentration, while a diet high in sugary, processed foods can lead to problems with ADD and ADHD. In addition to promoting a healthy diet, parents can also help their children by making sure they get enough sleep and exercise. Exercise has been shown to improve brain function, and adequate sleep is essential for developing brains. Finally, parents should make sure their children have opportunities to socialize and play. Social interaction and play help children to develop important skills such as self-regulation and empathy. By promoting a healthy diet, adequate sleep, exercise, and social interaction, parents can help their children develop into well-rounded adults.
