Clear and trustworthy recommendations for treating ADHD as a biological neurological issue
Thank you to James Greenblatt for sharing his work with parents of children with ADHD, and making this typically overlooked part of the "trait" or impairment accessible. Extremely valuable information on the biological research on ADHD brains, and how to is supplements to improve the challenging issues. Thank you also for the useful information about accepting your child and taking care of yourself as well.

Very good book!
This book has given me hope with my ADHD boy. I recommend this book to every person with ADHD, no matter the age. He is a Doctor that wants people to try natural treatments first, or he gives advice how to minimize the side effects of drugs.

Excellent!
As a healthcare professional myself I find this book to be a wonderful tool for parents and practitioners. I’ve heard Dr. Greenblatt speak at conferences. His sincere concern for our children and his expertise is reflected in each chapter.

Insightful, practical, hopeful
This book gave me hope for helping my child. I believe so much of behavior is tied to nutrition and hormonal balance. This provides a very practical step by step process for how to treat adhd. I love that his first response is nutrition, vitamins and supplements and not meds. Meds have their place but should not be step one and he makes that clear. Our physician said going to a psychiatrist would be the short path to solve our child’s problems but he reluctantly gave us a referral for neurologist. The doctor was not considering other brain factors (childhood trauma) that have made meds ineffective or problematic. With the neurologist we are able to get the biological testing done the author prescribed and not simply a behavior chart that says our child has adhd.

Awesome
My son is on ADHD medication and there are so many excellent tips on natural remedies to get him to Focus to hopefully get him off the medication. He has been taking the magnesium suggested for the last six days and it is already helping him in the evening to wind down and go to sleep easily! I am definitely going to try the other supplements recommended and get him tested for allergies. Thank you!

A very reasonable and scientific approach to naturally treating ADHD. I have purchased a lengthy list of the supplements he recommended that can be given without a blood test. I will update my review when I have implemented the supplements and approach after some time.
