Good information if you can follow

Dr. Davis is very knowledgeable about this subject and has lots of information to share. Unfortunately there are just so many details with exact numbers and such, it is nearly impossible to follow all the advice and information coming your way. I wish he had just broken the plan down into an easier format. I think this would be a better read with a physical book. I had the same proplem with Undoctored by Dr Davis. He also spends quite a bit of time repeating the same information to drive home a point. I don't really need too much convincing. I'm here listening because I am already a convert to the importance of the microbiome. The yogurt is fantastic though! So for sure, get this info in one form or another.

A Must Read Book

The book is a Clarion call to all. It underscores the importance of Gut health and describes how to cultivate a healthy micro biome. Will be trying out the recipes.

Amazing book!!

I absolutely loved this book. I liked it so much that I bought paper version to access the recipes and take notes! I am very much looking forward to starting this 4 week protocol!!

Fermentation is indeed a whole new world to explore. Regenerative ag starting in my own gut!

This is a great book. Buying a paper copy so I can easily reread, mark pages with sticky notes, and scribble comments in margins. Thanks Dr. Davis!

Important book

Very informative. Although I am health care professional, I had some trouble following all the details on audio and with the pdf so I got the kindle book to supplement. In kindle, the scientific references are right there.

This book complements the works of Dr Perlmutter and Dr Gundry and Dr Gregor and Dr Fung. Sometimes they do not agree on some fine points, but basically I feel they agree overall: eat veggies, take care of your gut buddies, avoid processed foods. This book names some specific baddies to avoid. It overlaps a lot with Dr Perlmutter, so I feel a bit better that it’s in sync with a neurologist, and it does speak about cognitive and mood benefits.

I really liked the detailed explanations of why certain things were recommended. Specifically curcumin; I just assumed we needed to absorb it to benefit. Without knowing details like this, I can be a bit hard-headed. So his in-depth explanations, which may be tiresome for some readers, actually felt importantly detailed and helped clinch my feeling about the evidence. I think the great depth of detail and listed scientific references steers it away from “snake oil”. Plus, the changes are going to be way more challenging to implement than just taking a supplement. I think I can do anything for 4 weeks, and if it leads to an improvement in quality of life, trying for 4 weeks will set me off to a good start.

I hate to think what my recent screening colonoscopy did. But I’m going to take it as a chance to start with a clean slate. Also interesting to learn that he doesn’t think green banana flour is that great for you and why.

I took one star off as the narrator mispronounced medical/biochem words. This is not uncommon in audiobooks, assuming because you can sound out a word that it’s pronounced correctly. Some audiobooks have been so terrible with mispronunciation that I can’t finish them. This narrator got a lot right, and some of the ones he didn’t, didn’t come up that often and I was able to finish the book.

Thanks, Dr Davis. I wish it hadn’t taken me so long to get to this; it’s been on my reading list for years. I also appreciate the website; he links to some of the harder to find things that he is specific about. I kinda wish there were a starter pack.

A healthy alternative

Dr Davis is a breath of fresh air that actually knows and tells the truth as it relates to your body. The Standard American Diet has really hurt us and No one is willing to be honest. That includes Big food, the government, dietician’s, and health care

Comprehensive…

I like the in depth explanations of how & why this program works.

I would definitely recommend it to anyone, although I don’t think everyone will be accepting of it.

I’ve started the program & am feeling some positive results.

Acknowledgement of the microbiome and how much it is really in charge, but with instructions on how to work together with our microbes to maintain vibrant health.
