Publisher's summary

Life is tough on space station Belvaille - not for the aristocratic nobles that call it home, but for the poor slobs like Hank.

Hank is considered a celebrated cutthroat and the oldest living person in the city. His occupation is to be hired muscle for those people who don't want to get their hands dirty but still want dirty things done. He possesses a mutation that allows him to be bulletproof and weigh thousands of pounds, two helpful traits in his line of work.

When the wife a city councilman approaches him about spying on her husband, Hank worries he's flying too close to the flames for safety. When the husband is assassinated, he's sure of it.

Hank has to keep himself from getting framed for the murder while he finds himself increasingly manipulated by powerful people as the machinations of the city council start to spill into his daily life.

Note: This is a sequel to Hard Luck Hank: Screw the Galaxy, Hard Luck Hank: Basketful of Crap, and Hard Luck Hank: Prince of Suck.

Hard luck Hank Suck My Cosmos

So this is the fourth installment in the series, it is written a lot better than all the previous novels as Steve Campbell is obviously getting into his groove with it. I found this to be an another amazing chapter in Hanks life. Like each previous chapters the dynamics of Bellville have changed. It's up to Hank to adapt to the changes over come them. Then make some scumbag suck face. You Can read this as a standalone or part of the series. As the author like always does a great job at covering back story in case you forgot since the last novel.

Spoiler Alert!!!!!!!
Like each previous chapters the dynamics of Bellville have changed. The city is now full of aristocrats and nobles. Hank is a No body, his butler is better known than he is. M T B has it out for him now as a inspector for the governor. He is hired to protect a council member. like all the other chapter hank gets his ass kicked trying to save bellville.

Great/funny story, but not main char voice acting

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

If you can tolerate the main character voice, then it's a great listen.

What did you like best about this story?

Well written - funny, but with a good story. The main location is the same between books, but the city is constantly changing, which keeps things fresh.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The voice acting choice for the main character was just terrible. Sounded like Darrell Hammond on SNL doing a bad Bill Clinton drawl. He wandered all over the place with it. He can obviously do good voice- the other characters were good.

Any additional comments?

They also had trouble keeping the volume consistent- Hank was always very loud, many other characters always seemed to be whispering. Got tired of moving the volume control up and down all the time.

Hated it at first, but it grew on me

What at first seemed over the top sarcasm actually fit the character well. I grew to actually like the series and the performance.

Syfy funny smart

a total must-read. smart even if our hero is not laugh out loud funny at almost every turn intelligent in writing and form and I love how in every book bellvale changes but Hank Never does. and seriously some of the best narration in the business.

Hank is Back Again, with problems and adventures

Hank once again is struggling with events and society that has changed. Like a rock in a stream, he isn't easily moved in his ways...and eventually alters the course of the stream itself.

I especially enjoy the scenes with Delovoa. and the arguing, cutting remarks and grudging camaraderie between Hank and the oddly brilliant and eccentric scientist.

As always a seemingly chaotic jumble of plot elements assault Hank as he tries to both survive and help ensure Belvaille also doesn't go down in flames.

Marvelously haphazard.

This is the single most believable science fiction book I have ever read, for one reason: no one, absolutely no one, has any idea what the hell is going on. The universe ups the ante on Hank in this one, and it's a toss-up which of them is going to cause more damage before it's all over. Hilarious, satisfying, and surprisingly well thought through, Campbell could clearly be writing harder stuff-- but lucky for us, he's not. Likewise, Owen could be performing a wider range of material, but clearly-- VERY clearly-- still enjoys getting his ham on as Hank, Delovoa, and a host of equally weird misfits and overfits. Kudos to both of them.
