About this listen

The line between one cyborg's machinery and humanity grows perilously thin—and deadly—as this action-packed LitRPG adventure series continues.

Not too long ago, the cyborg NSLICE-00P—Non-Standard Leashed-Intelligence Cybernetic Enforcer—was an unstoppable machine of war. But when a fateful murder caused her to be launched into a whole new reality, she slowly began to realize that she could be something more . . . if she wanted.

Fighting alongside the Empire against the deranged Heralds of the New Dawn cult, NSLICE-00P is still one tough, extremely violent unit. But when she decides to save the life of a friend by embedding her with NSLICE tech, some very deep cracks appear. Why do these enhancements cause her friend such physical and mental pain? Can't she simply go on like NSLICE-00P's various cyborg/animal/insect experiments have? Is it because she's human—like NSLICE-00P used to be?

Now, in addition to squaring off against the enemy, NSLICE-00P finds herself in a battle with her own programming, memories, and increasingly powerful and chaotic emotions, which run contrary to her very existence. She'll have to face the fact that she may be becoming something more human than machine. But since the machine parts are the only things keeping her alive in this perilous reality, does she really want to?

The fourth volume of the hit LitRPG fantasy series—with more than two million views on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

Dang feelings and their effects on primary dirrectives

I never thought i would recomemd a book that kicks your heart in the balls for the first 2 hours. But dang of i dont now.

This entire book was basically a training arch. For both combat abilities and emotional growth. I am mam enough to admit that i cried at multiple places im the story. And ome of thise places was the entire first 2 hours.

I always love it when a story doesn't skip the realistic emotional recoil of such massive changes in such a short time.

Fantastic

Emphatic Statement: This unit would like to thank friendly unit Icalos for his constant supply of reading materials which have caused a noticeable uptick in happiness of this unit.

Seriously though, this book was excellent. I really enjoyed the direction the author has taken and how the characters have evolved. It is definitely one of my altime favorite LitRPG series. I can't wait for more.

Great Continuation

I for one loved this book and even teared up a few times, then again, not hard to do for me heh, but anyway, My only gripe is a four month release! I want to see Seero become more human! Its awesome! I really recoomend this series and i have been listening to ALOT of Isekai books and this is by far one of my favorites! I know the next book is probably gonna be the last but ill probably give it all a listen again just because its so good!

Great as always need more

every was quite good a solid improvement to the already good books previously. but did we really need the entire last hour and a half to be status screen filler?

1 Hour + long stat sheet.

I'm glad there's only one big state sheet, and it's at the end, since it's over an hour of the listening time.

Amazing as always

I will admit at the start the hours of drama at the mansion and then training was a bit tedious and dragging but as a set up for the second half it did its job.
Amazing fun , humor and feelings. Cant wait for the next one.
Also the narration was just peak performance as always. No offense to the author who wrote a great book but I dont think I'd love it nearly so much reading as I do listening. The narrator brings the MC and cast to life. The way she goes from robotic to more human feeling vocal tones just makes you feel for the MC far more than just reading would. It is also something not many narrators could do. So this was a perfect storm of chosen narrator and format for this type of novel series.

Confidence Crisis, the book

Most of the book is watching the hero party falter and get uplifted by their allies. It's not terrible or anything but you get to the 70% mark and think "has anything worthwhile happened" only to realize the answer is no. The last part of the book gets the plot moving again in a fun direction but the book ends just as the fun part begins.
