Short and poorly read, but informative
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Sure. I'm not going to promote it, but I wouldn't detract it, either. The content is good, hard-hitting and very applicable. The included PDF is a must-have if you read the book.
What did you like best about this story?
LIke Bob Harper, the information in his book is full of tough love and direct how-to's.
What didn’t you like about Bob Harper’s performance?
Considering that Bob is a public speaker and television star, I was disappointed with his wooden speech as he read the book. He's a considerably better speaker when he speaks from the cuff. His flat speech in the book was downright distracting.
Do you think Jumpstart to Skinny needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
I would recommend that anyone looking for a follow-up NOT buy the Skinny Rules audiobook. The audiobook is ONLY the rules and does not contain the menus, recipes, or tools that the printed or Kindle book contain. There is no extra PDF for that book like there is for Jumpstart to Skinny. I would recommend the Kindle or printed book.

The piece of the book that resounded with me the most was when Bob talked about medicine. He basically said that if you went to a professional doctor and asked for help, if the doctor prescribed a specific medicine, you wouldn't mess with the dosage or look for a substitute. By that reasoning, Bob is a professional and what he wrote in his book works. Don't look for substitutes or change anything that he has planned.
This was important to me since I was already looking for substitutes. It was a good reminder that the program is only 3 weeks. Just do what Bob says.

Actually works
I’ve never had success with diets but this was the first one I had real results with. It changed my weight permanently, I drink black coffee still to this day and have kept some of these practices in play so it’s not temporary. It’s been 4 hrs now and I’ve never gained the weight back.

Great book for short tee weight loss and long term good habits
As a single mom of a special needs child I rarely have time to read a book. I sit in cubicle 9-10 hours/day. This book really helped clarify questions about supplements, staying focused,caloric intake, etc...
I am a formal NFL cheerleader and I struggle now in my 40s to maintain my 5'5 130lbs figure. This book is great!!
Oh and his workouts are also awesome! I don't have time for a gym and I use his workouts at least 3x/week.

Great plans.... short book...
What did you love best about Jumpstart to Skinny?
I love the very thorough PDF with recipes and exercises.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Well, it was just bob reading so... no characters.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
I think Bob isn't an incredibly natural reader but that's ok. It's not his normal job. It sounds like he's reading it and not saying it comfortably. But if it works, who cares.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Just the part where he said some people are convinced that they just have the body they are meant to have and they have no way of changing that really.

Ehh
I am not reviewing his tips just the book its self. He just discussed the handout for the most part and explained some of the must do's for this 3 week almost starvation (800 cal) diet to get ready for an event. It wasn't really what I was looking for but now I know.
