About this listen

What was once virtual, is now reality.

Trapped in the middle of an alien invasion, Logan James, a down-on-his-luck dollar store cashier, discovers there’s only one way out...

Compete in an alien-imposed game, a global battle royale called the Melee.

Forced to fight with his best friend Dwayne and a cute cashier named Alicia, he finds that the rules are simple: battle against the other participants and an army of the galaxy’s worst monsters and villains, level up, amass experience points and loot, and use any means necessary to reach the center of the Earth in 19 days.

Hundreds of people will live.

Hundreds of millions will die.

Great start!

It reminded me of the tower to heaven series with the plot and how it brings in aliens that place things down to challenge the mortal humans.

Great story

A little slow opening but overall good. Even though I can accept his mental limitations his friends are idiots when it comes to the changes around them. haven't they played video games? Watch Dr Who? I feel like at least one of them should have been a geek. Also there is too much patience with the main character. personally I would have been screaming at him for not trying to troubleshoot or research the game in the beginning to avoid the dumbest questions during a major crisis.

One Day Read

This was a unique take in the world-ending/LitRPG genre. The characters are believable and easy to identify with.

I am looking forward to other books in this series and I hope I don't have to wait long. Good job in the narration and a well written story.

Really excellent read, unique litrpg book

This is really excellent book. The narration was spot on and the characters and plot were well developed. The story involves a main character who’s caught up in a global battle royale game imposed after an alien invasion. The MC has to team up with his friends, discover abilities they never had, and find a way to level up while trying to uncover a way to overthrow the aliens. The characters were likable and the action was intense and well-choreographed. Strongly recommend this unique litrpg book.

Oh my gosh it’s raining spiders!

My friend told me about this book so I had to give it a try and I am absolutely blown away not only by the amazing narrating but the storyline kept me hooked the entire. The story, about a young man’s journey and the new friends he makes along the way quickly leaves the listener biting their nails in anticipation of what the next page has in store. Narrated most likely by some kind of voice God, the story is a must listen to! . 10 out of 10 stars. My ears and my heart will never be the same.
