Good introduction to meditation

This audiobook provides an excellent non-mystical basis for meditation, more akin to helping your outlook on life and helping in specific areas (sleep, eating, etc). A number of interesting anecdotes along the way too.

Very worthwhile

I am certain that, in time, I may want to raise my rating to a 5. I know I will listen to this again. It is certainly ambitious and profound. I am not sure I got all that is here on one listen.

Interesting story...

I enjoyed listening to this almost autobiographical account of one man's journey in meditation. There were some good pointers. I think I would purchase another more technical guide (less anecdotal) to support Andy's story. But, absolutely no regrets. Easy listening.

Little Known Ways To Happiness

Everyone has faults and little things they don’t like about themselves. Accept you for who you are.

Inner peace and happiness comes with being comfortable with yourself. Embracing yourself, the good and the bad, gives you the first opportunity of acceptance. From yourself.

Only then can you look inside you and recognize things that make you happy.

Feeling much more grounded.

Great book on a very useful explanation of how to slow down and even stop negative thinking when you are in a negative train of thought or a troublesome time. A very simple, yet effective way of neutralizing negative mind chatter to immediately make you feel better. I was surprised at how many times throughout the day I would remind myself to just be in the present moment and pay attention to my senses. It just seems to ground and relax me when I do it. Thank you to the author and I look forward to gaining a greater awareness of being mindful more and more often.

Helped me to find peace.

I always thought one had to do meditation a certain way, that only monks could attain. After reading this book, I discovered even I could find peace through meditation. Since practicing what I learned in this book, I sleep more at night, feel less stressed about the everyday situation, and generally feel happier all around.

A good book for stress management

I enjoyed listening to this book and getting new ideas for managing everyday stress. It gives a variety of good methods and for the price it was good. I think beginners and more can get something useful from this book.

Great

Great book. Good explanations and very informative. Easy to understand as someone who only had limited knowledge of meditation. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to know more about the art of meditation.

Useful

A valuable reminder to be mindful and of the role for meditation. Useful exercises and good food for thought. Not the most interesting book to listen to while driving but it is okay!
