Publisher's summary

Three women, connected by one of the most brutal mass slayings in US history.

Lucy is sick of turning the other cheek. Ten years ago, an anti-Mormon mob drove her family and friends from their homes in Illinois. But now, the tables have turned. Rumor has it, some of those same men are traveling through Utah on their way to California. And this time, Lucy won’t run.

Katrina knew the trek west would be difficult. But she had no idea she’d be walking straight into hell. The young mother of four is prepared to do whatever it takes to protect her family from the violence closing in, but the battle to survive will be more harrowing than anything she can imagine.

Sally has just been “gifted” to a man she barely knows—as his fourth wife. Trapped and lonely, she tries to make the best of her new life. But when her husband insists on joining a group of religious zealots’ plans for revenge, she’s forced to reconsider her loyalties. Even if it means putting her own life on the line.

Based on true events, None Left to Tell is the story of the Mountain Meadows Massacre.

Breathtaking in the Most Devastating Way

The narrator was amazing. The story itself is very good - heartbreaking and left me thinking about it long after I finished.

Unforgettable

This book stands apart from anything I’ve read. It’s dark, tragic, and profoundly impactful. Rooted deeply in historical events, it brings an emotional weight that feels almost indescribable. Saying I "loved" it doesn’t feel quite right to say (real people suffered immensely), but this story moved me. It’s powerful, beautiful, and heartbreakingly sad. I did, however, fall in love with every single person/character.

If you’re familiar with The Four Winds, this has a similar historical resonance, but with an even greater intensity that lingers long after your listen is complete. Clearly, a lot of research went into thus book. The result is both compelling and devastating, a book you won’t be able to put down until it's over.

Can’t get past the Mormons and secrets. This is nuts

Historically accurate, down to the preface and the end notes. Such a beautiful and heartbreaking portrayal of battle and prejudice. I love that it had strong female leads from three different perspectives. In the end, you will feel for each of these women. Ihli makes you sense every characters mood and gut; good or bad, and empathize with each. Beautiful, heart wrenching, and as real as it can get. Heyyy Reese Witherspoon! Here’s a wonderful movie we all need to see ✨

The storytelling is well done.

The story was great, very historically accurate and well researched. The audio part was pretty good. I don’t like when the voice changes during men’s dialogue but that’s a personal preference.

Noone let to tell

Soo sad, but very well written. Those poor people. I don't know how I feel about the church after this book.

Heart-wrenching historical fiction

This book was very different from the usual thriller books I listen to. I am so glad I went into this book blind because historical books normally don’t keep my attention. I absolutely devoured this book in 2 days. It was so tragic, heartbreaking, unbelievable, and to know that it is based on real events that were covered up and essentially wiped from parts of history is so tragic.

The performance from the narrator was incredible. She was able to convey so much emotion that you felt you were right there!
