About this listen

Falling in love wasn't part of the plan in this lesbian romance from best-selling author Jae.

Susanne Wolff isn't thrilled when her mother sends her all the way across the country to Freiburg to save her uncle's stationery store from bankruptcy. Freiburg is too provincial for her taste, and besides, pen and paper are outdated anyway.

Anja Lamm, Paper Love's only full-time employee, takes an instant dislike to the arrogant, digital-loving snob who's supposed to be her temporary boss.

But thanks to a meddling cat, a business trip to a stationery fair, and an armada of origami boats, Anja soon starts to see beneath Susanne's aloof exterior, and Susanne discovers how sexy pens and notebooks can be - at least when Anja handles them.

As the end of Susanne's three-month stay approaches, will she stick to her plan to leave, or will she open her heart to more than just paper love?

Contains mature themes.

Loved the story and narrator. This was another story that builds up and ends fairly quickly, but still great.

Loved it!

Awesome read! Jae did an awesome job telling a story about a stationary store owner's niece coming to help save his store. She was going to fix things and leave until she fell in love with the beautiful clerk. A Must read.

Like Anja, I too like paper and pen compared to doing everything online. I had put off getting this book because I didn’t think I would enjoy, but like every other book from Jae I was not disappointed. It was a great read and would definitely recommend it.

Really loved this book

I have read and re-read this book a dozen times - love it. I visited the charming city of Freiburg Germany a few years ago and saw the Bächle waterways on the street sides, which seems to be just the most perfect setting for the book. Highly recommend!

What a great read to put a smile on your face!

I really loved the whole package. The story had great pace and the characters had great chemistry! I was sad to see the story coming to an end. I already had a love for pens and such, but this book made me want to run to the nearest "Paper Love" store I could find. A great listen!

This story was such a beautifully paced slow burn romance with a little ice queen thrown in. Jae did an amazing job of bringing these characters together with funny interactions and well timed conversations. Abby Carsen did an amazing job of being a voice to the story. HIGHLY recommend! Possible my favorite Jae story to date.

Perfect romance that settles the listener into a beautiful German town.

Suzanne is a digital-loving business consultant who has been sent from Berlin to Freiburg by her mother to find a way to save her uncle’s stationary store. Her uncle’s sole employee Anja is her polar opposite and a rocky beginning ensues. I gotta say this is among the sweetest contemporary romance’s I’ve ever read. It might even be at the top of the heap. Audiobook Note: The audiobook is narrated by Abby Craden and is as wonderful as one would expect from anything narrated by Abby Craden.

Romance and fountain pens galore!
