About this listen

A deadly virus has been unleashed. A virus so vicious that it reduces the infected to a terrifying version of themselves that could lead to the end of our race as we know it.

Elaina has been identified as the point of transmission and the reason for the chaos and havoc. She created the virus and let it out. Now, more than just the infected would like to see her head served up on a platter.

When havoc unfolds in the city, law enforcement officer Alec is involved in an accidental shooting. Put on paid leave, he bitterly lays low during the madness until he's called back to help control the alarming spread of the virus, while hoping to put an end to the person responsible for the virus and his near-shattered career.

Elaina is trying to stay under the radar too, but she can't hide forever. She has to help stop this and come up with a cure before it's too late.

When Alec and Elaina cross paths, they'll have to decide what's more important...revenge, redemption, or survival.

Contains mature themes.

Solid apoc story

I like when there is a new twist. Yes it might not have all the action others do… with a lot of battles, etc. it is more of a how it happened, and how to solve while on the run… with an evil greedy villain in the mix. Great to listen while doing other chores etc. am getting book 2 now. Great performance

It’s ok enough

There’s a whole Lotta filler and not a lot of story building or character building. The characters that have been built just randomly die off and the most part of the book is pretty anticlimactic. The whole series in general is really anticlimactic. Something to listen to in the background and this is for you other than that it’s OK.

Book was very basic.

I felt like there was a bunch of unnecessary fluff to fill this book. So much more could have been done to fill in the situation, and the outcome of the virus. Also the relationship with the different characters. I felt like the author purposely left a lot out, so there can be a book two, even though it was unnecessary. For that reason, I will not be going on to book 2.

Slow to set at but gets better

Likable storyline and easy to follow. Not quite your average zombies but kinda. It was a good read though. I don’t like that the main character is really intelligent yet so timid(it’s annoying), she doesn’t speak up for herself and lacks qualities that make you want to root for her. Maybe it’ll get better in book 2…we shall see.

easy listening

The ice cream would have been melted too. Love the characters. The Villlain is a real pice of work.

Reallllllly bad

Stupid characters, juvenile dialogue and boring storyline. Reader was ok till he used his hillbilly southern good old boy accent. DNF

The narrator reads like I'm a first grader

Horrible narrating. And story is like a freshman at high school wrote it. Audible should pay me for enduring it.
