Story
If you’re like most of us, you openly admire and, maybe, secretly envy those who can stand fearlessly in front of a crowd and deliver an inspiring speech effortlessly. But what if you could be one of these chosen few? What if you could make your message clear and powerful and turn passive listeners into excited followers? Yes, you can do it even if you’re introverted. If you think that you’re “just not cut out for public speaking”, stop and think again. Don’t let your amazing ideas wither away unheard.

Story
Most of us are quite relaxed and confident when we're with our friends and family. We can tell a story or even tell a joke. But put us on a platform and we can feel very different. When we speak to an audience, we often put on a public mask; and use a different voice. Why can't we seem to be ourselves when we give a talk? In this audiobook, we will look at all aspects of spoken communication, from structure right through to delivery. We will learn how to have a conversation with our audience - to be ourselves - so that we connect with them every time we speak.

You think your lack of willpower is why you always fail. You think it’s why you can’t lose weight, succeed as an entrepreneur, and procrastinate and waste your day. You think if only you had willpower like other people, life would be different. Everything would change. But You Are Wrong. Will isn’t something you have or don’t. It’s not genetic or gifted to you. It has to be developed. Strengthened like a muscle, built like an athlete from amateur to pro. It’s not about having the “right stuff.” This is about training.

Story
In Joel's Schwartzberg's 10-plus years as a strategic communications trainer, the biggest obstacle he's come across - one that connects directly to nervousness, stammering, rambling, and epic fail - is that most speakers and writers don't have a point. They typically have just a title, a theme, a topic, an idea, an assertion, a catchphrase, or even something much less. This book shows you how to identify your point, leverage it, stick to it, and sell it and how to train others to identify and successfully make their own points.

Publisher's summary
In his 2004 study, sociologist Andrew Zekeri found that oral communication is the number one skill college graduates found useful in the business world. We all have seen confident speakers at work or at parties. It is so easy for them to make new friends and get promoted at work. Why can’t this be you? There are many things that hold us back. Fear, lack of experience, and not knowing where to start, can stop us from taking the first step on the path to becoming a master at public speaking. This book is a collection of the essential methods, strategies, and clear actions distilled from some of the most desirable and coveted courses I have taught.
In this book, you will discover:
- The number one hurdle that stops us from speaking in public and the strategies you can use to overcome it
- The simple framework to plan a perfect speech, presentation, or sales pitch
- The overlooked factors that you need for a flawless delivery of your message
- An underused strategy you can easily adopt to immediately engage and a build a rapport with an audience of any size
- The beginning, novice, and advanced approaches to influence and persuade your crowd
- The essential tactics and tips to master public speaking and improve your professional and personal life
Our communication is one way people size us up or judge us. Whether you agree with it or not, it is used as a gauge at work and in social settings to determine where we stand. Being a better communicator will help you climb both the work and social ladders. I want to help you along the path of being a master at public speaking.
You can become a master at public speaking and improve your communication skills, even if you are paralyzed with fear or have failed every time you have tried.

Charlotte Bellows wrote The Definition of Beautiful between the ages of 15 and 17, in the wake of lockdown and in recovery from anorexia. In the tradition of Sylvia Plath in The Bell Jar and Françoise Sagan in Bonjour Tristesse, Bellows writes with deceptively straightforward urgency, pushing through society's constraints on the bodies and minds of girls and women to offer a story both achingly familiar and devastatingly new.

Great audiobook! Simple, practical advice
This audiobook completely changed my approach to presentations, and I am not easily persuaded. This is a very useful audiobook on all aspects of academic style presentations. I wish everyone who made presentations that I had to endure would listen to it. It seems so simple, but requires a lot of work.

Needs another edit
The ideas described in this book are extremely useful, but some of them would gain even more if they were edited again in the recent years.
This book doesn't only teach one to hold him or herself correctly when speaking in front of a group, but also teaches many things like self-assurance, voice techniques, body movements, motivation for success.
