Ashlock is now half a step into the Nascent Soul Realm.

With the long-spanning battle against Nox drawing to a close and the ex-merchant turning over a new leaf, Ashlock and his sect are on the cusp of becoming a regional powerhouse feared by all.

However, before they can dominate the world stage, Ashlock must first form an Inner World to complete his ascension. Ten thousand credits and a variety of Star Cores cannot be sourced locally, so Ashlock must spread his roots to neighboring cities and rival sects.

As he expands to sate his system’s hunger, so does his list of foes.

Book 4 of a unique reincarnation isekai LitRPG Series set in a Cultivator world. With millions of views and tens of thousands of followers, this was one of the most popular web serials of 2023.

I love the way the story is heading. I hope there’s many more on the way. If I had to say a negative it would be the length only 16 hours doesn’t feel like enough when compared to the books that came before. But I love all the fighting and powering up the writer has me hooked and I faint wait for more.

I absolutely love this series!

The whole thing with Jasmine is just filler. Just a long side story to pad the word count. And it takes up SOOO much of the book for no reason.
The story comes into play occasionally. We used to get 25 hr books, now we get way less than half of that with filler added in.

The MC and his group are also a bunch of jerks. They blame people for being bad as an excuse to treat others like trash. The way it’s written is getting to be gross. They talk like they are a nice little family or a sweet collection of oddballs, then go out and enslave people with little to no reason outside of it being convenient for them. Where is all the grow they had from discussing how to treat Elaine? They act like judgmental sociopaths.

And the plot armor abuse is getting ridiculous. Characters will just find reasons to push Ash’s agenda. One example of it getting insanely heavy handed when the death cultivator just started making up an idiotic and narrow minded narrative just to make what they wanted “the right thing”. The reasoning was so insane and lazy, ESPECIALLY in a world of cultivators.

Every awful thing they do just gets dismissed or excused away with a convenient justification or some truffles. It’s like they’re in an abusive relationship with anyone they need.

Ash wiped out a massive household, that includes children.

If you liked the books so far this one is no different. Again they stumble into big life-threatening fights with little to no build up. They are always on the backfoot and reacting to dangerous situations. The tournament in the last books was the only time they planned for a big fight. I just wish there was more build-up and planning like in a grand strategy game. I'm more frustrated that the fights are always their own damn fault. Either they are being idiots or wandering blindly into fights without thinking. Both Stella and Ashlocke are very impulsive and adverse to planning and patience. It's still entertaining if you treat it like a Sunday morning cartoon or Marvel movie.

More of the same.
