About this listen

Six roses. Six vials of blood. Six visits to a vampire who could be her salvation… or her damnation.

Lilith has been dying since the day she was born. While she long ago came to terms with her own imminent death, the deaths of everyone she loves are an entirely different matter. As her town slowly withers in the clutches of a mysterious god-cursed illness, she takes matters into her own hands.

Desperate to find a cure, Lilith strikes a bargain with the only thing the gods hate more than her village: a vampire, Vale. She offers him six roses in exchange for six vials of vampire blood—the one hope for her town's salvation.

What began as a simple transaction gradually becomes something more, and Lilith is faced with a terrifying realization: It's dangerous to wander into the clutches of a vampire… and in a place already suffering a god's wrath, more dangerous still to fall in love with one.

Six Scorched Roses is a standalone fantasy romance novella set in the world of the Crowns of Nyaxia series, perfect for those who love dark romantic tales with bite and fans of Sarah J. Maas or Jennifer L. Armentrout.

Best Novella ever!

I really enjoy the Crown of Nyaxia series, and this was an amazing addition to it. This was the first time I’ve ever listened to a novella that actually felt like there was a slow burn romance. It is a very quick listen or read, but the world is immersive. the characters are intriguing and the romances to die for I would recommend this book to anybody. And of course the narration was wonderful.

Great addition to the series

I enjoyed the adventurest female character and her dedication to her people and willing to do what is necessary for her people. I enjoyed the way the relation between her and Vail. in liked the end plot and how it all turned out. I wasn’t expecting that. Bravo ! I would recommend this book.

Short but so sweet

I absolutely adored this novella. As an autistic girlie, I love seeing characters that I can relate to. I desperately want to see more of these two I love their relationship so much. Even though it was short this is probably one of my favorite books. Amanda Leigh Cobb as always did a fantastic job. She nails it every time.

Love love love

For this to be a shorter book, it delivered on everything I needed! The storyline didn’t feel rushed, the chemistry between Vale and Lillith felt so natural. It was nice to get their backstory after reading the Ashes and The Star-Cursed King. I loved this book so much!

kinda of A prequel

This book is completely different than the first book has same type of characters like vampires and humans but different characters except for vincent. I'm assuming this is a type of prequel About vincent's past. Overall a very good short book.

Great Stand alone but adds depth to the main story

I chose to listen to this right after Serpent and the Wings of Night. It's not necessary and can be read separately from the main stories and equally enjoyed, however since these characters show up in Ashes and the Star Cursed King, I had a better appreciation for who they were and recommend it be read between (if you have enough patience before diving into book two!)

Fantastic Novella and Autistic-Coded FMC

I was on the fence whether or not to spend a credit on this shorter novella in the series, but I'm so glad I did. Excellent portrayal of an autistic-coded woman in a fantasy series, and a feel-good book overall!

Great read/listen. Cheaper to buy the kindle and audiobook together lol. Would love to see an entire book about them.
