A showdown of titanic proportions is developing in Archemi. Kingdoms are falling like dominoes to the self-styled Emperor of Nothing and his swelling armies.
Hector Park and his Queen dragon Karalti stand in their way. Linked by an unbreakable bond, they are the Paragons, heroes who are destined to overcome the dark forces mustering on the horizon, or die trying.
Will Hector unlock the true potential of the Dark Lancer Path and stop the ancient enemies of Archemi, or will the Emperor succeed in his mission to become a God above Gods?
Join Hector and Karalti on this epic Final Fantasy-style LitRPG adventure, in which the heroes find love, triumph, and struggle against overwhelming odds in the battle to save their world, while the bad guys are not just scary - they're smart.

these books have a little bit of everything when it comes to the litRPG virtual world genre and to me is one of the best.
I read a lot of these types of books and you'll have main characters that seem to always fall into the same bracket of being a very self-aware video game nerd protagonist trapped in a virtual world thats not only a retro video game nut but also a meme Lord.
Hector has always been able to kind of balance it pretty well to where it's not so intrusive and immersion breaking.
balancing him out with more player characters in this book was very enjoyable. and the world building is very easy to understand and follow like you could skip a chapter for some reason and still piece everything together from the characters recanting dialogue. The author really considers his listeners when it comes to explaining the world building and character relationships from previous books quickly and efficiently there's never a moment where I felt lost or that I had to go and re-listen to previous books to make sure I didn't miss anything.
on a completely unrelated note to what I just wrote we got dragon booty in this one and that's really important like I don't think most people understand how important it is to describe dragon booty, I'm just saying the series has always been great about describing booty in general and I think that's just great.
THE BEST ONE YET!!!

The only downside to finishing this book early is waiting for the next one to come out. But I'm more than happy to wait if it means another guaranteed good time!
