About this listen

He’s been preparing for the apocalypse his entire life. Is he ready?

Miles “Shrug” Lindstrom received a quest years ago. He was the only person who could see the window, and in addition to the quest, he could also see a countdown to the end of the world.

Part of him was hoping that he was just insane and had been hallucinating when he first started seeing the window. Then again, if the quest was just his imagination, he was going to be massively in debt with a rental full of useless junk.

But when the countdown finally stops, what happens is nothing like he could have imagined. Miles prepared for almost any scenario, but a world full of monsters wasn’t one of them.

Will finishing his strange quest help him survive the chaos?

it was pretty good

interesting what's happening. I like how a lot of people are coming together. hopefully the girl loosens up a little bit and doesn't go crazy she seems like the type that she might. it'll be really cool if the next antiques he get is some kind of armor and an old bag that becomes his inventory. that'd be awesome because I really like it when they get storage devices in books

not afraid to get graphic

honestly lots of stories seem to dance around certain aspects of how bad things can be in an apocalypse. this has a lot of real aspects i appreciate a lot without being over the top. it Walks the line for me really well and has good imagination to the world building

Meat and Potatoes

Story was great, but damn I wish it was longer..... Just as it was getting going we are done. Love BC writing style but this being a series I hope we get more Meat and Potatoes in things our MC does. Narration was great and Cover art is pretty cool. I hope the next book comes out soon.

Good but to short.

Excellent beginning to the series. But it was way too short. And knowing this author, it’ll be a year or more before we see the next book in this series.

I hope that the next book in this series is much better than the second book in his other series. This author has written other series and they tend to be great to start off with and then for some reason the second book falls far short from the original book. (The one exception is his first series he wrote)

already looking forward to the next one in this series. good plot, good action. good characterists he's written two other books that are referenced it set in the same universe. Savage webs is one and I can't remember the other, but they're good too. I hope this helps. the author get more people to read these books cuz they're really good

Amazing!

Fantastic storyline. This book reads like gameplay. I was consistently engaged and finished this book way sooner than I thought I would. Definitely a fan.

*shrugs*

The overall story was good, however horrible narration, doesn't give emphasis on actions. Is he reading an action adventure book or doing a commercial about clear eyes? If I have to hear one more lazy line about him killing something, I'm going to kill myself. The more he reads the more rigor mortis sits in.
