About this listen

He didn't plan on becoming a top champion of the world. Then, the System arrived...

Xavier Collins was sitting in class when the System integrated Earth into the Greater Universe, where countless vast kingdoms, empires, and collectives battle for domination.

He didn't know what choosing to be a Champion would entail. He just liked the sound of it.

But when he's teleported to the aptly-named Tower of Champions, he must face challenges against those who have known about the System since birth.

Chance may have gotten him a standing start, but now he has to earn the place he's stumbled into if he's going to save his world. Time to power up and fight for Earth!

Don't miss this new action-packed apocalyptic LitRPG by Todd Herzman, with levels, a detailed System, classes, skills, towers, loot, & everything you love about progression fantasy.

Well done!

For me the start was a little rough, but it smoothed out and ended very well! Looking forward to the next book and most likely check out the authors other works! Narration is well done and cover art is pretty dope!

Finally a quality new series

I am always looking for a new lit rpg to hold me over while waiting for big titles to release there next book. This series is definitely gonna be one I'll be waiting once burning through the few books currently out. We'll write and new approach to skill and growth. If you like, HWFWM, DOF, or Primal Hunter you definitely like this book.

Another well written OP(overpowerd) MC (main character)

The premise of the story is very interesting. if you like Defiance of the fall. He who fights monsters, and the legend of Randidly Ghosthound then you will surely enjoy this audio book too

Great story. Great characters. 10/10

Awesome story, Great concepts. Fantastic narration. Op MC but done tastefully. Loved the references throughout the book. Casually dropping the Wheel of Time reference is what made me take the time to do a review lol. Loved it. can't wait for the next one!

Warning ‼️ plz read before listing.

Overall it is a good book and I will keep going. I have read well over 300 LITRPG books from over 50 titles. This is a good reasonable choice if you are looking for more.

My warning is for those of us who get our feel for the book off the first couple hours. This book is rough in the beginning. It truly takes time to start to get better. If you let it play out you will most likely come to evaluate the book much better than its opening chapters.
The MC leaves characteristics to be desired even at the end of this book, but he was nearly insufferable in the beginning. Despite this I am glad I let it play out. I am about to buy the 2nd and keep going, but I had to write this review 1st.

I do want to say I am not trying to tell this author how to write. I know I can’t do it. I am saying though this MC is hard to relate to and imagine existing, he just feels very forced and scripted to become overpowered. It feels like he can’t mess it up, and it will always work out for him. Yes I know that that is how these books work especially once you read hundreds of them, but this MC feels forced into it. Like his personality is kind of terrible and not in a way that would find yourself thriving in the way he does to get the advantages he gains. It’s kind of like he was right place, right time, and despite him not being the best personality he will still be the best regardless. *sigh

TLDR-Either way, Book is good if you make it through first ~30%. Keep going if you want to add another series in between the goats like primal hunter, dungeon crawler Carl and 1st defier.

Ps. Yes I know there are many goats but those are my 3 tops and yes I know I am so wrong and yatta yatta yatta. Whatever you say, you are obviously right and how dare I be aloud to write anything other than my white toast riddled grocery list.

One of the best LitRPG's out there

Great characters, interesting villains, and really solid mechanics, to go along with a compelling story! Yes please!

I would recommend this to virtually anyone, both vet of LitRPG and Prog fantasy genre, and those looking to get in. Great start to a series i'm really excited to see continue!

Similar to DOTF, plus a little Primal Hunter

Pretty well-written book; my only complaint is the author's eagerness to point out the MC's social anxiety over and over again. This sort of MC is strangely common in this genre and I'm not sure if it's because authors think readers will identify with the personality trait or the author is projecting their own mental health issues on the characters. Personally, I get really impatient at the character's hesitation to talk to other people.
