About this listen

Brought back from the brink of death, now he must fight once more....

Sergeant Richard Stavos was a Technomancer, capable of creating stronger than normal mental links with nanites. But that alone wasn't enough to keep him alive. Not when the Ka Empire wages wars across the galaxy.

Death was supposed to be his release...an end to the constant fighting that plagued his life. But gifted beings like Richard are assets, and almost a decade after his death, the Ka overlords bring him back from the grave as a "reward" for his good service.

Some reward...but who says no to living twice?

Richard is thrown back into war, tasked with a simple but familiar mission-utilize his Technomancing skills on the planet Detera, and before he dies again, take as many of his enemy with him.

Experience the start of an epic military sci-fi series from debut author N. D. Redding. It's perfect for fans of Chris Fox, B. V. Larson, and Technomancer.

Awesome Sci/Fi listen

This one surprised me. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did. I can't wait for the next one in this series. It had everything I like. It had awesome space fights. It also had genetic and nanotech. there is also a little bit of mystery through in

Pretty cool!

I enjoyed the story line, the last 15 mins though sets up for the next book, not sure how I feel about it. Will give Redeemer a go.
Narration from Eric is amazing like always.

Reminded me of 40k

I didn't really enjoy the book, it felt similar to Warhammer 40k setting, but not in a good way. It was chaotic jump which takes most of the book just to get a clear picture of the setting. This book litrpg parts was very video-game in all the wrong was. I think I understand why it was setup the way it is, but I just can't get behind it. The ending was disappointing.

Complete letdown…

I purchased this book based on the description “military sci-fi”. What an utter disappointment this proved to be. This book has as much to do with the “military sci-fi” as My Little Pony books. This is a mediocre & confusing attempt at blending LitRPG w/something (not sure what). It fails utterly on every count. Two dimensional characters, zero attempt at world building/scope/conflict, etc. Just on and on droning about leveling up nano tech - with no actual goal or reasoning. Just, because. I made the mistake of pre-ordering the next book in series before I actually read this one. And the second book is even worse (if that’s even possible). The writer completely throws out all pretense of plot, and settles even deeper into mediocrity. I also can not believe the audacity of this writer to compare this drivel to B.V. Larson’s writing.

Reads like a video game

Some people might be into the whole level up and points type of book but it's not for me. Can't get my head around how gaining levels and unlocking new abilities thing in a book. Maybe it could be blended but to me this author didn't pull it off.

It is a LitRPG

Too little explanation of "game mechanics" to bring them into the real world. Do not recommend unless that is your thing. The Narrator was decent though
