Publisher's summary

From New York Times best-selling author Kristen Ashley comes the new book in her River Rain series, Taking the Leap.

Alexandra Sharp has been crushing on her coworker John “Rix” Hendrix for years. He’s her perfect man, she knows it.

She’s just not his perfect woman, and she knows that, too.

Then Rix gives Alex a hint that maybe there’s a spark between them, that if she takes the leap, she might be able to fan into a flame. This leads to a crash and burn, and that’s all shy Alex needs to catch the hint never to take the risk again.

However, with undeniable timing, Rix’s ex, who broke his heart, and Alex’s family, who spent her lifetime breaking hers, rear their heads, gearing up to offer more drama. With the help of some matchmaking friends, Rix and Alex decide to face the onslaught together....

As a fake couple.

Narration

Great story. Sadly, the female performer has an odd pronunciation quirk that kept distracting me from the story.

Another Satisfying Read

KA can’t write them fast enough for me. I have every one of her books on audiobooks and have listened to most of them twice. This is another satisfying read in a another series I love. Write faster, I need more!

Love the novel

Female narrator does a super cringey, nasally pubescent male voice and pronounces some names weirdly (KayT when the name is Katie), but the story itself is awesome.

Loved it

Loved the pace of this, loved the chemistry, loved how their stories unfolded. Loved the interaction between friends. Just plain loved this awesome fake fiance genre interpretation all the way around.

I prefer the narraters of the first 2 books

The narration of this book is just off. I love the characters and will continue the series but the voices are pretty terrible.

Language

The F word definitely was overused. It got really old. Other than that, I enjoyed the story.

Excellent story...

Narration was excellent! The story gave you all the right feels & really captured so many fine details. I loved all the witty & snarky comments throughout. Can't wait for another book by Kristen Ashley who is now my favorite Author! I just love your writing style!

Good story, meh narration

I love Kristen Ashley and the River Rain series. I’m feel very invested after participating through her FB group so it’s especially fun to read. So it is no surprise that I liked this story. My only issue was the narrators. Jennifer Mack did well with Alex but would occasionally have an odd accent and didn’t do so well with other male characters. Wesley Paul did a great job with Rix but not so great with other female characters.
