I like it!

This audiobook was really helpful and easy to understand. It explains how anxiety in relationships works and how to feel more secure. Everything was comprehensible and put to grasp in a way that made sense, even if you do not know much about this topic.

The author goes over steps to stop overthinking, set boundaries, and feel more confident in love. The narrator’s voice was relaxing, which made it easy to listen to and absorb the advice. I enjoyed this alot!

Cultivating secure attachment is easier with tools

Respecting boundaries is a massive element of this title that hits home the kinds of positive traits we can glean once we “do the work.” In short, powerful boundaries, not only for ourselves, but also for others will be solidified after following many of the steps (usually following CBT exercises) to bring about more secure attachment within us.

I loved that chapter 7 reminded me of the proverb, “a soft answer turns away wrath but a harsh word stokes anger.” This was such a great reminder for me because once we start to develop more secure attachment in our relationships (by looking at ourselves first), we start to become softer in our interactions with others, which might sound like not a great trait to have (we seem to celebrate strength and assertiveness so much in our society), but it actually creates an almost stoic type of unshakability which empowers so many aspects of our lives.

In short, this title will help listeners in fulfilling needs, creating and respecting powerful boundaries, and basically just being more happy overall by cultivating a secure attachment style. You must do the work though, however, its easier than ever with CBT.
